Re: Orgeron
Yeah their program has fallen off in the last two years after losing their Heisman QB and 12 other players drafted along with losing great assistants like Joe Brady and Dave Aranda.
With that said, that is an extremely short leash. You win a national title, you have a crazy pandemic year where nothing was normal, then you start 3-3 and that is that. It would definitely make me have second thoughts about coaching there knowing you could literally win a national title and still get fired 1.5 years later. The crazy thing is they didn't even let this season play out. They just had a big win over Florida and have a shot to win every one of their games outside of Alabama.

Re: Orgeron
I wouldn't touch it if I were him. He has the chance to implement his system at Baylor, is likely making somewhere between $4-5 million, and would have a fanbase with gargantuan expectations. I'd stick in Waco where I could have a little more opportunity to coach without that craziness.

But, he then gets to cash in the $17 Million, no further work required. A beautiful, purple and gold parachute.

Maybe I'm just not that driven, I'd consider it a wild success to get paid for the next few years while not needing to work for it. Lol.

Re: Orgeron
Crazy thing is the Les Miles contract was through. So next year they will have 3 head coaches on the payroll... though I think they are only paying Miles like $133,000 a year.

What do you get when you mix a ragin Cajun, $42M, and an insatiable lust for married, pregnant women who work out?
What’s coach O doing postgame, indeed.
