for those who've been around a while Godfather was once a regular poster here on the message boards, you could say he was an OG poster from the early days. I was told he passed the night before last. RIP Godfather.

His more recent handle here was OleBlu1 I think, and had been active here until recently. He wasn’t an alum but was a solid fan and generous donor, and his passing is a loss to the Aggie Nation. RIP OleBlu1

Wait Oleblu died? Oh that is terrible. Very sad news indeed. We had many good debates on here, but they were all in good faith. Sad to hear he is no longer with us. A great Aggie has left us.

That is terrible news. I know OleBlu1 made us confront the realities of our budget, but I actually embraced his perspective more and more. RIP OleBlu1

I hate to be annoying, but to make sure, is this *the* "oleblu111" or is there another "OleBlu1"?

Very sorry to hear this. I wish we had more fans who did not grow up in Cache Valley or attend USU.

I also appreciated his view of college athletics. Although he maybe went to this well too often for some on the board, his points about USU and how we can grow our program were appreciated and largely accurate.

Anyone mind sharing his obituary either here or privately?

I don't think Jim's family would mind, look for Jim Bennett.

For Whom the Bell Tolls
by
John Donne

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

RIP Oleblu

We should create some sort of archived list on this site of great Aggie fans in here who have moved on. Jackmormon, Oleblu111, (there was another prior one a few years ago of a dude about 35 years old. I can't quite remember his name).
