First gameday shirt?
I'm working on an article regarding the history of the gameday shirt. I know the first one showed up in the early 2000s (2003 I want to say?), and I believe it was a student by the last name of Olsen that really pushed the whole thing through. Tyler maybe? Does anyone know if that's who it was, and if so, how I might be able to reach out to him?

Tyler Olsen's introduction to "Game Day" including game day t-shirts: https://usustatesman.com/column-blue-cr ... ay-shirts/
Another article from the Statesman about game day shirts: https://usustatesman.com/aggie-fans-to-sport-new-wear/
Some quotes from Tyler regarding the game day shirt tradition: https://usustatesman.com/spectrum-magic-2/
First game day shirts:
As for Tyler, no idea how to get a hold of him. Perhaps someone like Fafner would know and could chime in?

I didn't realize I had the first gameday shirts!
I'm making a t-shirt quilt and i was debating on whether or not that shirt would go into it. I'm glad i did it!

I liked when they used the A in reference to a butt.

Re: First gameday shirt?
Yeah, those were much better than the unintended A in reference to the butt version (which I happened to wear this weekend).
For those that may have forgotten.....the famous "A" appearing in a circle which became affectionately known as the A-hole shirts.

I don't know why I didn't buy that shirt with an A in the circle. I think that was the only one I didn't get.
This post is likely straight up poor sarcasm and cannot be taken seriously.

Re: First gameday shirt?
Thank you to all that have responded and for sharing the Statesman articles. I've been able to get in touch with Tyler. Ha ha, good memories of the A-hole shirt. I still have the shorts that say "I'm proud of my A" as well. This doesn't go all the way back to the beginning or include the past three years or so, but this is in the Admissions office on campus and is a fun walk down memory lane.
