Look away, non-baseball fans.
How about this start to your college career?

True freshman at Florida Atlantic hits a grand slam in each of his first two collegiate at-bats........ in the same inning.
I'd say the guy that recruited him is feeling pretty good about now.

That fete actually happened in a a mlb game. St Louis Cardinal Fernando Tatis Sr. Hit two grand slams in the same inning against the Dodgers in April of 1999. Very amazing to see....and fun because I am a Cardinals fan.Yossarian wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2021, 4:28 pmLook away, non-baseball fans.

I remember that. I don't know what Tatis' bigger contribution to MLB will be, that two grand slam in an inning game, or his son.mcaggie1 wrote: ↑March 10th, 2021, 5:40 pmThat fete actually happened in a a mlb game. The Cardinals of the 80's were fun to watch. A bunch of speedsters and Jack Clark.

Fun to see an incredible home run stat by a Cardinal in 1999 that wasn't achieved by you know who.mcaggie1 wrote: ↑March 10th, 2021, 5:40 pmThat fete actually happened in a a mlb game. Re: Baseball related
I actually prefer the Cardinal style of play in the 80’s to the style now....go for the home run and strike out a lot. “Whitey-ball” is what it was called. Good pitching, a couple of power hitters, and the rest was speed, speed, speed. If the opposing pitcher walked a guy, it was like giving up a double.Yossarian wrote: ↑March 10th, 2021, 5:47 pmI remember that. "You know who" wasn't the only one.
