I guess I should have copyrighted my boilerplate booster transfer form:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=56221&start=35

I'm assuming a transfer to SDSU or BYU is imminent?

This ones not surprising and it shows why we need to be kinder on these forums. Recruits read this place and our actions have consequences.

I hear we missed out on getting Carlos Boozer and Mario Chalmers to commit to USU because they believed our forums weren't kind to people from Alaska.

Let's be honest, TheAKAggie wasn't one of our best fans. He hasn't done much for us. I'd be shocked if any P5 fanbase picked him up. Most likely, he will end up as a FCS fan for a year. If he can prove his value as fan at the FCS level, he may transfer to another G5 fanbase - likely in the MAC. If anything, we've opened up a spot for a much, much better fan.

But I wish him the best.

Not gonna lie, this is pretty underwhelming. I thought the new staff would be able to bring in some better talent, this is a clear sign that they swung and missed on several bigger targets. Crossing my finger that it's a walk-on spot.

It’s probably safe to safe that this development will ultimately tip the scales to Chico.

No, I don't. Some number of years ago, after I graduated in '82, someone made a mistake, and it metastasized like a cancer. Adjectives ending in "-hearted" have always indicated character or a state of mind. Faint-hearted is a synonym for cowardly. Light-hearted is a synonym for happy, cheerful, and care-free. The dictionary defines "Truehearted" as loyal, faithful, devoted, dedicated, staunch, constant, etc. Adjectives ending in "-blooded" are, first, rare, and generally refer to immutable characteristics or matters of genetics, e.g. "Full-blooded" Indian. Aside from a second rate, cheesy TV series about vampires, "true-blooded" has never even been a thing. Being an Aggie is not an immutable characteristic, and while many of us are second, third, and even fourth generation Aggies, it isn't hereditary. Being a GOOD Aggie is a matter of choice, to be loyal, devoted, dedicated, and faithful. To be TRUEHEARTED.

I am not opposed to change, particularly when the change is positive. This wasn't deliberate, positive, purposeful change. It was an error. For you IT guys, would you ever tell a client, with regards to an annoying software bug, "It's change! Embrace it! Move on!". Sometimes change is bad. This is a change that makes no sense. Put aside the history of this specific song, the literature lover in me hates it because it makes no damned sense at all.

This is the hill I will die on.

Who knows, this could be a big pickup for next season. Can't fault someone for exploring their options (especially after this last year). There's always room at the table for a true *blooded Aggie!

*hearted. SMH.

Or in this case, I suppose I would accept "true-boweled".
You got to stay on top of things, change happens and you got to embrace it...

Glad to have a true-hearted Aggie like you supporting USU.

Go Aggies!

Thanks. And it isn't personal, but this is something I really do feel strongly about. I'm on a personal campaign to get it changed back. I'm planning on writing a letter to the editor of The Statesman this fall.
Completely respect your convictions about it.

Whatever the lyrics are I love hearing the Aggies sing it after a victory!
