Scroll down - on the bottom, right of the page is a box with Other Programs as the title. The first item says Change your AmazonSmile charity - click that
Search for Utah State University and click Select

smile.amazon.com then on the bar across the top you click amazonsmile. It will allow you to search for whatever you want. My wife says I can't change ours from the kids elementary school PTA:(

I do now! I didn't know that was an option. I had it set to a big national charity who probably gets a ton of people's donations.

Are PTAs like HOAs for public schools - or are they more like the woman version of "wearing your varsity letter jacket as an adult to relive your jock/mean girls days"?

I don't think that is correct. What that means is that Amazon donated $140 to USU this year for everyone in their USU Smiles program. Basically, it is a lame donation apparatus.
