Yes.This year does not count for eligibility purposes for any college football players.

Not correct.
The NCAA had concerns about players that would sit out half way through the season if they were doing poorly as a team.
My take is, this season is weird. Next season will be weird too. Its best not to punish the kids for that.

The NCAA has FROZEN the eligibility of all players that are participating in "fall" sports. This means that a player that plays his career completely healthy and takes a redshirt season like many of the players do, will be in school for up to SIX seasons.
