I feel bad for Grayson and his family that his contract was not renewed, but it was probably time for a change. Over the course of his 14 years leading the program he did an awesome job with the girls academically but the on-court results were usually mixed. Without consistently winning it justifies bringing someone else in to lead the program since there is not much evidence that he could build the program into a consistent winner. Hopefully Hartwell can make a great pick for the next head coach. Grayson is a good dude and I hope he lands on his feet somewhere soon.

As someone with a family member on the team, this is good news. The girls did not like him as a coach. As a person, they like him just fine, but his coaching abilities are severely lacking.
