In other words: Listen we're not going to sit back and act like we're going to HAVE to be reactionary if we lose a few members, so I'm going to put out this presser that says we may or may not be interested in expansion, that way when we invite USU, Idaho and SJSU to fill the holes left after so and so, team x and team y left after getting invited to the Big 12, we won't look like we're just sitting on our hands because honestly we have no other choice. No conf. usa team is going to pay a million bucks to join a conference that's just as inferior to the one they are in, we know that, so we'll just be inviting WAC teams, like we always do, to join our ranks in order to save our conference and my job.
