Aggie Basketball popular worldwide
Some of the youtube movies I have made have gotten views in foreign countries.
The one of our fans chanting "Give Up" at UVU's arena has gotten 840 views in Canada, 210 in the Philippines, 52 in Singapore, 34 in Saudi Arabia, 433 in Asia, 638 in Europe, too many countries to list all of them.
The one of Brady Jardine's technical foul dunk has gotten 3 views in Germany.
The one of San Jose State turning it over has gotten a view in Brazil.
The one of Brockeith Pane making a jumpshot against San Jose State has gotten a view in New Zealand, India, Japan and France.
The one of the "Winning Team, Losing Team chant" at UVU has gotten 11 views in the Philippines, 2 in India and Thailand and 17 in Europe.
The one of the "Winning Team, losing team chant" against Bakersifeld has gotten a view in the Philippines, Belgium, and Romania
The one of our fans cheering "I believe that we will win" at BYU has gotten 5 views in Austria
You have to wonder if missionaries are bending mission rules by watching youtube, or if foreigners are really interested in Aggie Basketball.
Those of you that also make youtube movies could tell us how many views yours has gotten in foreign countries.

I have a friend that is down in Chile right now. He said that the clip of the Idaho State free throw was being played on the news down there quite a bit after it happened.

It's tracked by the computer that is used using Google Analytics. It uses an IP address lookup service to determine where the users IP address is located.
Re: Aggie Basketball popular worldwide
There are actually quite a few more visitors than I expected to this site! Of course I visit and read the forums on 5 different devices and I'm sure I am not the only one, but still impressed. Makes me wonder what Auburn's site hits look like right now. It probably got that many hits within a few hours during and after the game last night!

Re: Aggie Basketball popular worldwide
I actually think that may be visits and not visitors now that I look closer. I clicked on the Visitor report but looking at the raw numbers on the dashboard it doesn't add up. If we go back all time (since November 3) according to the dashboard it looks like we've actually had about 20,000 visitors that have visited the site for a total of 150,000 visits. I think the numbers above are probably just visits

I posted a simple video a while back, just to see how youtube worked. Amazingly (to me) it has 4,000 views.

Re: Aggie Basketball popular worldwide
GameFAQS questioned whether some of the missionaries might be bending the missionary internet rules so they could follow the Aggies. I guess that's a possibility, but there are also many senior couples serving around the world who are USU fans, and the mission rules for senior couples are much different than they are for young elders and sisters! Most senior couples have a computer (and internet connection) right in their own apartment.

You have to wonder if missionaries are bending mission rules by watching youtube, or if foreigners are really interested in Aggie Basketball.
Those of you that also make youtube movies could tell us how many views yours has gotten in foreign countries.
And there must be a few hits on the YouTube videos from Denmark, gamefaqs. I've watched some of them.
As for foreigners browsning this site, it surprises me that there are really 57 other computers here in DK that have taken a look. I've probably used 4 or 5 different computers, but that still means there are a few people in this country who know who the Ags are. I've just never met any of them.
Not that USU is alone in its anonymity. No one here knows Auburn, U of Oregon, or any other university sponsored team, either. They know the overmarketed and uninteresting pro teams: the Lakers, Yankees, and whoever wins the Super Bowl.
