A third of the way through the conference schedule

Post by SectionBAggie » January 16th, 2025, 8:59 pm

Records are meaningful, but hard to compare since there is imbalance (so far) in the schedules.

But there are a few games that can be considered statement games. It's hard to decide where to draw the line, but I have chosen to break the conference into 2 sections - teams with more road wins than home losses (USU, UNM, BSU, SDSU, CSU and UNLV) and the rest (Wyo, UN, SJSU, FSU and AFA).

In games so far for the first group, there are 3 home losses among themselves:
- USU at SDSU
- UNM at CSU
- SDSU at BSU

And 1 road loss to the lower group
- UNM at SJSU

Those four games are the outliers so far in the title race. Considering those games, only USU has a net positive.

There are a lot of games left to be played, but there is never a time that it's bad to be in first place.

Two games this weekend among the top group - BSU at UNM and UNLV at SDSU.

Aggies right now are in good shape. Just got to keep it up. 3 of the next 4 at home and all 3 are pretty difficult games. Need to protect home court and win 5-6 games on the road in conference and the Aggies will be in great shape.
