Hard to accept, but I graduated USU exactly 50 years ago. Have followed football and basketball in moderation. Fortunate to have been an Aggie when we truly had legendary teams led by Wayne Estes and Merlin Olsen. So winning happened pretty often and planted the seeds for future years' delights and disappointments.
Now I realize that any given game, one team will lose. I have grown to admire the athleticism and skill of our players and revel in a closely contested tight game. With those 50 elapsed years I have really "stopped to smell the roses"...and added one to two car lengths between me and the car in front. Driving from Arizona to Logan for 4 months of summer really gives me a chance to reflect upon the importance of enjoying the scenery as it passes before you.

Remember in 2019 the Aggies lost @ Air Force by 19, an air force team that went 12-20. We had two starters who are now NBA veterans. Odd things happen. Frustrating, but that's why you play the game
