Call me crazy

Post by Aggie4L1fe » October 22nd, 2024, 5:56 pm

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but while i’m watching the Celtics game. Reggie Miller talks about how the Joe Mazzula values length and a run and gun offense… he also brought up how last year they ran 9 DEEP! Can’t be a coincidence especially with Calhouns connection to Joe.

Calhoun made no secret that he is going to run NBA and European basketball systems. Our matchup zone is from Northern Kentucky, and we have an assistant coach from Northern Kentucky to help with the matchup zone.

Well if we can emulate this Celtics offense we’ll be just fine. 46 points at the end of the first

This is why Calhoun likes the Northern Kentucky matchup zone.

Northern Kentucky played some really good basketball despite being a lowly Horizon League team.
Imagine this defense with PAC level players instead of Horizon League level players

Those highlights were great to show how great the defensive system is. Washington was 49 by half. If you watch closely though, Washington stalls from the ~15min mark in the 2nd to the ~5min mark. They only had like 6pts in that span. Whatever they did in that period of the game was way better than what they did in the first half.
