Not too concerned. Better to sort this stuff out now. Basically a game and a half (6 quarters) and playing experimental lineups and bench guys. Different coaches approach these games differently.

Hard to believe we play a regular season basketball game before we play another football game.

I heard from a friend that Mason Falslev spoke with his Dad after the scrimmage and said for the most part, USU was fairly even with Oregon. The difference was Altman coached it like a game, and Calhoun coached it like a scrimmage, freely substituting 5 at a time, looked at different player combinations and letting the guys that won't play much this year play most of the last two periods. So the score really means nothing. It was a good workout to find out who can do what in certain game situations.

This team is going to be fine.

Did Mason let his old man know if our front-court players held their own against Oregon? Curious to see how they matched up physically and on the boards.

New coach with a new system and a lot of new faces. We were spoiled to click so fast last year (helps to have your 2 best players familiar with the coach). May take us a while to get going but I think we are really good by the end of the year.

No clue. He’s the only AD employee I’ve personally interacted with over the years that I found extremely unlikeable. Not sure anything in his purview has ever felt anything other than amateurish

Is Chase the one Doug had to “correct” that got him in some hot water due to the level of “correction” provided? If so it tracks that the kid might be a douchebag who probably deserved said “correction” and apparently could use a few more.
