This tells you all you need to know about how NBA scouts and execs feel about Great's game translating to the next level.

Interesting...no Stevens from CSU. No Ladee from SDSU. Both of those guys have a shot to make it in the NBA.

I'll still be shocked if that is how that plays out.

Re: Combine Invitations
Who has a say about who is invited to the combine? Is it NBA scouts or is it power conferences in college?

Re: Combine Invitations
Bronny is not an NBA level talent currently. He struggled on a mediocre USC team this last year. He certainly will get picked up by some team due to his name but he is nowhere near ready for the NBA.

Re: Combine Invitations
I understand where you're coming from. And appreciate you being consistent. I have zero inside info, but I still feel like he ends up at UW. USU can offer Great close friends and a big role, but he'd be with a new coach. UK, Louisville and Texas Tech can offer him way more money, but it would be a new system/coaches. UW is the one school that can offer him money and a familiar coach.

Just because something is familiar doesn’t mean it’s preferred. Particularly when it comes to people.Aggie702 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:33 pmI understand where you're coming from. Agreed. But I think it helps here and I'm calling my shot. Don't worry, I've been wrong plenty. My wife can confirm lol.bigblue32 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:49 pmJust because something is familiar doesn’t mean it’s preferred. The Bronny thing is just weird. If he played for us, he would have been on the bench.

Re: Combine Invitations
I read today the Lakers may very well draft Bronny in order to hang onto LBJ. And other teams might in order to lure LBJ out of LA. Rest assured this is going to be a package deal just like the bros that went to UVU.

Re: Combine Invitations
I’m pretty sure a lot of him not getting on the court was the heart issue he had at the beginning of the year.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:07 pmBronny is not an NBA level talent currently. Bronny James was not that highly rated recruit out of high school.jackattack wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:16 pmI’m pretty sure a lot of him not getting on the court was the heart issue he had at the beginning of the year.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:07 pmBronny is not an NBA level talent currently. The 28th ranked recruit in the entire US isn’t “that highly rated” now??SLB wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:23 pmBronny James was not that highly rated recruit out of high school.jackattack wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:16 pmI’m pretty sure a lot of him not getting on the court was the heart issue he had at the beginning of the year.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:07 pmBronny is not an NBA level talent currently. I’m sure it took him some time to get his legs back and feel physically normal after a cardiac arrest.
I’m not advocating for him. I think he’s overrated, just like his father has always been, but the kid has a nice feel for the game. He’s smart and could turn into a solid 3 and D player with some playmaking ability at the next level.
Although I love Osobor, and I think he’s a better college player, currently he’s a tweener without the ability to hit the three consistently. His game will not translate to the NBA as well as Bronny’s.

Bronny James was a 3* player, and I see that they changed it for Lebron JamesRoy McAvoy wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:56 pmThe 28th ranked recruit in the entire US isn’t “that highly rated” now??SLB wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:23 pmBronny James was not that highly rated recruit out of high school.jackattack wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 7:16 pmI’m pretty sure a lot of him not getting on the court was the heart issue he had at the beginning of the year.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 4:07 pmBronny is not an NBA level talent currently. Re: Combine Invitations
Bronny James is your basic 3* player, but the basketball world appeases Lebron James. Before Bronny James got any attention in the college basketball world as Lebron's son, he was rated as a 3* star. I still remember when USC got James, and so many people were questioning USC getting such a low-grade player (high majors get their players early in high school). The whole thing is interesting because it keeps getting more and more bizarre.
