Any word on the 2 visitors this weekend? After Ian has announced I’m getting some excitement back. Hoping we had some 6’7” - 6’9” guys come in with great athleticism.

Really just need a couple more rotation guys and dudes that will accept roles. The below is close to an entire rotation already. Missing maybe two guys? I think we need a backup center that will accept his role, and then either a backup primary ballhandler or someone in that 6'7 to 6'9 range that can play the 3/4 and defend and shoot a little. I think it'd be hard to find someone good in that backup primary ballhandler role because Mason, Ian, Deyton, and Josh are going to soak up basically all the guard minutes. I think I'd go the latter route. Paging DJ Burns?

Rest of the scholarships probably then go to developmental guys like the two we saw offered yesterday.

Haha, I had zero unhinged breakdowns this year. I think breaking the tourney curse was a big breakthrough for us.

Burns seems like a no brainer fit on this roster. Having that grit on the boards and some length who can shoot and dribble is something we could’ve use after we lost Max last year.

Burns is still in the portal.
I could see us going after Burns since it is going to be his last year, and he appeared to like Calhoun.
His transfer portal interest list is not big.

I did see a guy who looked about 6'7"-6'9" with Eric Brown on a recruiting tour while in the ARC today. he was wearing an NBA Global Development t-shirt if that means anything. I originally thought it was Kiir Kuany, but his hair was shorter and more importantly Kuany is still in high school

sidenote, I thought Eric Brown worked and talked primarily with the guards, but most times I've passed by a recruit touring the campus he's been the coach showing everybody around. Is he recruiting wings and bigs as well or is he just the coach who is tasked with taking the recruits around campus?

Good intel quirky! Brown is likely the only coach on staff that is vaguely familiar with the community and campus.

I saw Coach Brown with the player as well near the TSC.

Recruits are on campus almost daily. I believe that we have had someone on campus every day this week and most days last week. Some of the names will excite you all.

Probably so fans don't lose their minds if we're "not able to land" a player they want. Same reason they try to keep coaching searches as quiet as possible.

we're competing with others for many of the same players, it's usually a good idea not to show your hand until you absolutely have to when playing poker.

It's Dallin Hall, he is coming to be a backup PG and play some 2. Cougar fans are going to lose their mind when A. Their golden boy comes to USU and B. He is only a backup here, and C. He likes it.
