This game was at least somewhat of a blow towards some fans's frustrations with Duryea. I do remember I was next to someone at this game expecting we win by 20 cause of how bad Youngstown was, going off about who else they lost to by 20, and being ready to fire Duryea if we didn't beat them by 20.

Maybe cause we still won, a blow comparable to the youngest grandkids swinging at a pinata at a family reunion.

We should renew the series. We always talk about how we should require a 1 for 1 with departing coaches. Let's give the incoming coach a 1 for 1 with his old school. *If he would like

It was sad what Duryea's program did to the environment of the spectrum. So nice to see it in a great spot right now.

It could also be said it was sad to see how fickle our fanbase was during that time. Isn’t it frequently said on this board that we support the name in the front of the jersey??

I think it takes longer for the spectrum to diminish than it does to resurge after an off few years.

I think Covid did a lot to suppress the spectrum as well. We had some amazing years with Smith, but Covid really slowed that momentum of building it up.

I was the one sitting next to you. I didn't realize that was you. As I recall you were very patient with TD. I sincerely apologize for the language.

We're all diehards that post here regularly and are invested in USU athletics. We show up regardless. The casual fan/student is much more fickle. They only show up for a quality team. Why's it's important to keep momentum built off of past few season going.

That’s true, definitely preaching to the choir here.

Those days were rough for the spectrum. Glad it is back. The Boise State and New Mexico games this year were incredible
