Sidenote: if Goodman doesn’t leak our coach announcement, it almost confirms that Sprinkles camp leaked the UW news. Probably leveraged the extension into a bigger offer for him. Kinda sucks but it’s smart business.

This is good news. Hopefully if the hires have been made they don't need to wait to start until then. Every day matters in getting started right now with the portal open.

How come we always know where other coaches are going and who is being considered for jobs but we generally have no clue about our coaching searches until they are announced. We heard a little rumbling out of Toledo early on but then nothing. Now the hires have been made and we still don’t have anything concrete. What gives?

I doubt we have signed contracts with anyone, this is more of a "save the date" event than anything. Wishful thinking on our part. BUT with that said, lets wish for the best!

In this case, Sabau had everyone in the AD with direct knowledge of who the hire is sign an NDA that they wouldn't leak it or risk being let go.

I feel like the rumors are out there. Everything is saying it's either Tod Kowalczyk or Todd Simon. We'll see if that proves true I guess.

This is my thought - not far enough along right now to announce today- but confident enough to arrange a Monday announcement.
Either they don't want to announce on Good Friday-Easter Weekend, or they think it will take until Saturday to get everything ironed out

With that in mind I went to the fan forums of the known candidates Nobody on the Toledo board knows anything... They reference posts from USU fans for info.

More smoke on the Bowling Green board. Poster claiming he has heard Simon is gone and that Toledo tried hard to keep him but that he has agreed to terms with USU.

I hope I dont get fired for posting this...

I'm not 100% sure yet. There are a couple of names floating around that I've confirmed that it is NOT.
