Gary Gerold (sp?) was on the radio here and said no one was in portal ( think he was wrong here), and that AD asked players to hold off entering portal as they will have a new coach by end of week-end. So this could be a quick hire, he named many of those listed on board already, add the coach at Eastern Washington,

Never heard of anyone close to a Gary Gerold. And he's wrong, there are currently two players from last year's team (Falslev, Brenchley) in the portal.

I don’t think he is in the portal. All the NCAA portals are all updated fast, and mason is nowhere to be found in any of those. It’s possible he has told sources he is planning to so the reported it but mason is nowhere to be found on any of the portal websites

I was going to start a thread asking about Sabau's efforts with the players. This is the first I have heard of it, but I assumed she would have made it a priority to meet with them immediately after the season ended to encourage them to stay at USU and hopefully even to get their input on the coaching search.

mason is in the portal on the verbal commits website. 247 sports is pretty slow and doesn't update in real time.

To be fair, Brenchley played like 20 minutes all year and Mason just entered the portal in the last few hours.

Other than reports from posters on this board that he may not be easiest person to deal with as well as arrogant. He certainly has done well at EWU.
