Generally, USU is disrespected or at the very least not really talked about much over there. They are talking about us now. Many over there felt USU was just plain lucky and had a softer schedule then other MW teams. They are coming to the realization that this is pretty good basketball team after all.

I’ve always felt that MWC fans stuck together, at least those outside this forum. Very few have a hatred that runs so deep that conference mates are not cheered on in the tournament. Mostly those fans reside on this site.

It’s like family, no one gets to make fun of my siblings but me.

The individual team’s boards are pretty good too. Most of them saying they didn’t see this coming (not unlike a lot of us here) but giving USU a lot of respect. As was said above, it’s nice. The fans of Get Your Own Damn Blue School are mostly being pricks, but that’s what is to be expected from them. And they claim we aren’t their rival.

Thought this would be better posted here as opposed to a new thread about it, but there was a thread on cougarboard about it being sad to realize USU is more athletic, and one BYU fan literally accuses us of preferring a win over them over an NCAA win.

OK, it maybe would be debatable for some of us if we would take a football win over them over an NCAA win, and some of them can go after us for being OK with our 2010 football season where we went 4-8 cause of one of the wins was against them, and go after us for taking a football win over them over a bowl win or football conference championship. But ONE basketball win over them????? They have to be out of their minds to think any of us would take ONE regular season win over them over an NCAA win!
