Re: Johnson
Huge game for him. He got really aggressive in the 2nd half driving and finishing at the rim. I think that got him confident with his shot and he gave it to TCU. Really threw them off. They focused so much on Great and didn’t adjust to how the game was playing out.

I’m so glad the network guys figured out the “big fish”. I was pissed when they were laughing about us thinking we were playing Florida. He deserved all the spotlight! What a game! Legend!

Finally…an Aggie team that not just played like they knew they belonged…but they punched the toads in the throat and smiled doing it

Re: Johnson
Absolutey a legendary performance. Huge defensively, offensively, and had the most epic fish slide and pose I’ve ever seen. Aggies needed somebody to go off, so glad it was him.

Re: Johnson
Just awesome tonight not only with his scoring but also solid around the rim with some blocks and rebounds. He literally carried the Aggies the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half and we don't bust it open without his shooting. Super proud of him tonight, he saved his season best performance for the biggest stage. Love that they finally figured out the story about the fish clap.

Re: Johnson
The step back three is when I really felt like the Aggies could win that game. That was clutch.

Re: Johnson
I haven’t been this excited since my Sophomore year in 1970. (Yes I am that old …75). Nate Williams and Marv Roberts and the gang qualified for the Big Dance.Won 2 or 3 games that put them in the Elite Eight. We lost that game to John Wooden’s UCLA Team. The downer year was 1971 . We played a play in game with BYwho? They beat us in a close game and the most one sided officiating I have ever seen (until we joined the MWC. That game was at the Spectrum.I still can’t believe that we lost.

My father is your age and was an Aggie student at the same time. I wish he had lived to see this team. I may of had a class with him. My Freshman year was 1966 and 1967. The Shaler Halimon days. Halimon was the second best shooter (next to Estes) that I have ever seen.AggieFBObsession wrote: ↑March 23rd, 2024, 11:23 amMy father is your age and was an Aggie student at the same time. He'd go to the games with Wayne Estes and watch when he was in high school. His older brothers were fans also.

Re: Johnson
Happy for him, however, need him to be on tomorrow. Eden’s not going to come out and guard him. They’ll throw a zone on us. If Johnson’s on fire, we have a good chance. Can Great get Edey into foul trouble?

Re: Johnson
Throw a wild card in there! Start Templin, Have him pick a fight with Edey. Get him to throw one punch and BOOM! We are playing in the sweet 16.
