Crazy to me that the guy was able to land that kind of interest after 3/4 of a season just because of a stupid "returned no points" narrative. Congrats to his agent his got his 🤑🤑🤑

So am I to understand Mark Pope is not going to be the head coach at Washington?
I mentioned it before, but that’s how you know a lot of folks in here have solid information. When Aggies22 said Pope, it would have been easy for pretenders to agree. However, many were like WTH. It takes guts to disagree with 22.
Pope did his best to under cut what Washington was willing to pay Danny but in the end the Huskies stuck to their guns and got their guy. Pope still wants out of byu. It just might not happen this season. Remember Bronco packed his $hit and bailed out of the blue.
Do we like Bronco now?

He's a great coach and great recruiter but he's going to need a whole lot of luck too to get more than 4-5 wins next year in the Big 10. He can get a guy with Brown's talent but not his experience in the system and that was huge this year.

This has been done since Andy Hill was promoted mid season.
Yup or at least talks had begun
What’s frustrating to me is that Danny and his Agent willing scooped Goodman mid season and let him report it in the middle of the season.

Just a bad look for Sprinkle
May have been a good thing, allowing the AD to get starting on a search early as well as giving notice to other good coaches that this job may open up, which most wouldn't have expected after one year. We'll see who we hire, but perhaps this helps us get a better option.

Just looking for a silver lining.

Hey man, I think we're supposed to keep the narratives to why Danny is a piece of ****. We love and adore him if he stays, but if he leaves then everything he's ever done is wrong.

Get with the program. This board has collectively made up its mind—don't show it any facts to the contrary.

Love what Sprinkle did for us, but I was think about his recruiting last year. So basically he convinced two of his players to follow him and got his coaching staff to come too. Andy Hill had a connection with Ian, and Haslam had a connection with Uduje so they recruited them to Logan. Fish, Sahko, Templin, and Mason were already in or coming to Logan thanks to Nate Dixon who kept a lot of those guys committed.

So Danny recruited Jackson Grant (bust), Nigel Burris (bust), and Javon Jackson (quality back up)?

Danny recruited two first team Mountain West guys to the Big Sky. Let me repeat, 2 first team Mountain West players to the BIG SKY. They came with him and were the 2 best players on a team in a MUCH superior conference. He also recruited a guy to Montana State that left to make more than the coach would have been making at Montana State. Also, i believe he recruited the Big Sky player of the year as well. Weird that he wasn't able to get 3 five stars here to Logan, but what he did do was pretty amazing.

Recruiting is all about connections, but go ahead and downplay the additions of Martinez and Uduje if it makes you feel better.

Not a downplay, just not Danny recruits. They were directly tied to the two assistants.

I can't help but wonder if Sprinkle would've preferred the now open USC job over Washington.

Wait… I thought his dream job was MSU (his Alma mater) … errrr. Utah State (where you can get a court named after you).

Sounds like a great story that can be told wherever he can make the most money.
