Is San Jose… Back?

Not that they were ever here lol
I actually think they might have a decent roster. Had the big guy injured this year. Added Donavon yap and this guy. They won’t be terrible. And the injured big guy could be one of the top big guys in the league.
With the fact that they have a literal High School coach as there coach what they’ve done in the portal has been impressive.

Must have a Silicon Valley NIL sponsor pulling some strings.
That’s Fresno

One of the positives of the NIL and transfer portal is the NAIA, D2, and etc. players can move up the ladder. Colorado State helped opened the door for those players.

Sorry but I’m not too worried about an NAIA Transfer, doesn’t really move the needle for me.

You can bet your (I can't express myself without swearing) BJ Rains is treating this addition like adding Caleb Love.

The Pack got a visit from Buchanan but didn't close the deal, I guess. I thought he was the best guy they brought in. Cest la vie..

Can you imagine the trouble he’d get into in Nevada? The guy looks like he lives and breathes drugs and hookers.

There's been a few NAIA guys that have gone on to contribute in D1 and I think that might increase in the portal era. Way back when, Michael Jordan had a couple of running mates out of NAIA schools that were pretty fair by the name of Pippen and Rodman.

Colorado State got some D2 players that helped them to be in NCAA tournament. D1 schools across the nation saw former D2 players destroy UVA in the NCAA tournament.

Agreed, CSU had Joel Scott and Cartier that played D2 ball that were good at this level.

Absolutely. Seems like the guy BSU snagged had some good offers and visits (Texas tech, Nevada). His highlights show he is talented and athletic. Guess Rice gets another go with assembling his “super team”.

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Boise has double the NIL war chest of any school in the conference, except maybe SDSU.

SDSU does not have a big NIL war chest..There is a reason their good players left.

Nevada has a significant war chest and most likely more than almost every team in the conference..Including Boise

I believe Buchanan decided against NV because they already had signed Kobe Sanders who provides almost the identical stuff Buchanan does. With Agbo leaving there is a clear lane for Buchanan. He is still getting paid but now likely far more minutes too.

Look no further than Jackson Grant. He was an McDonald's All American. Not saying this guy will be a bust at Boise but who knows.

It's usually a day or two behind, but the MW Connection has a portal tracker.that will help provide a good idea of who is coming and going from MW rosters.

I saw that Karson Templin reposted about him signing on his Instagram. I did some research and found that Jaylon Crocker is also from Texas and they were teammates on the Nike EYBL circuit. He was an all-state high school player in Texas as was Templin.
