The MW is what it is, a nice mid-tier conference with teams that are little more than first round cannon fodder for middle of the pack P5 schools.

Can’t wait for our helping of humble pie tomorrow!
Just like the SEC.

Sadly, Kansas is going to win.

Kansas actually scoring. They can't pull a Nevada if they actually score points at the end of the game.

At one point, it was 79-78 Kansas after Kansas had a 20 something point lead in the 2nd half.

Samford got hosed that was a clean block. Ref saw the player fall awkwardly but the Samford player never touched him.

It cost them a chance to win but man those refs just couldn't get enough air time for themselves tonight. Kept reviewing the obvious but I guess they needed to because they missed the obvious with that call.

Happy annual “USU loses in the first round of the tourney” day to all who celebrate!

What this tourney is showing me is that trends continue. BYU continues to struggle in the tournament, the MW continues to struggle in the tournament, John Calipari gets lit up by some accountant. Those are constants. Another constant is us losing. I hope to be wrong and hope today is different, but I am not expecting it. I think TCU is a better team that is going to give us a lot of problems.

That has to be one of the most amazing bad calls that impacted a game.
Samford gets the clean block and rebound then with 16 seconds have 5 v 4 basketball because the Kansas player was out of the play from the blocked dunk, but the ref calls a foul on the clean block.

If the roles were reversed. I can see the ref assuming that the Kansas player was athletic enough to make the block cleanly and swallows the whistle. Absolutely horrendous call that ruined a great game.

Looks like Ldee is carrying SDSU. And where did this Reese Waters come from? He just decided to figure it out in like the last 5 or 6 games.

FAU could've won in regulation. The shoot the contested 3 to win at the buzzer is the dumbest shot in BB. If you have time - go to the hoop.

The MW is all about building early leads, not putting teams away and losing late painfully. CC: Nevada and Boise.

FAU is toast - see? Don't give a 2nd chance.

Normally, I'd cheer for a team like FAU, but they are in the AAC now and I hate that conference. Northwestern isn't a traditional "major" conference power.

Good point, but it's depressing to see all of these 9's beat the 8's :( we better fix this tonight!!!

If the Aztecs could run a proper fast break they would be up 10+ points at half.

I was just coming here on my lunch break to say I hope we buck the 8 seed losing trend.
