Tournament Ceiling Elite 8
This article has the Aggies tournament ceiling as the Elite 8. That is the highest of any of the MW teams. The BYU ceiling is even only listed as Sweet 16.

I don't need the Elite Eight. I'll settle for the Round of 32 lol.

Re: Tournament Ceiling Elite 8
Ceiling is elite 8? Wtf does that even mean? If they think we can beat Purdue as a ceiling, then our ceiling is winning the whole thing. The ceiling is that we can beat the 1 seed but not the 2 seed? I hate when people talk about “ceilings” and “floors”.HomeTown wrote: ↑March 18th, 2024, 3:18 pmThis article has the Aggies tournament ceiling as the Elite 8. Yep win Friday night and we can all die in peace. Although I'll certainly take an elite 8 run. The winner of the 8-9 game from Purdues bracket last year went to the final four

Re: Tournament Ceiling Elite 8
IF, big IF, we beat TCU, Khalifa Sako is going to have to play his A game against Purdue, because we're an elite team at guarding the 3pt shot.
The nutty thing is that neither Purdue or TCU need to rely on the 3pt shot to beat us. So neither team is walking into a trap where they rely on the 3 and have to face an elite 3pt defense. In some ways, I like our chances against Purdue more than TCU as crazy as that sounds.
TCU will play defense against us like SDSU does, but not quite to the level that UNM does. And we really struggled against those two teams because we have trouble with being controlled and laser focused on every posession. IMO, we get too tense and don't play loose enough and smart enough.

Re: Tournament Ceiling Elite 8
If we come in Focused like those Boise State or SDSU Wins at home, basically shoot 40%+ from 3, we really can beat 90% of teams in the tournament.
If we play like we did against Fresno, AFA late, etc, we will lose by 20 to TCU.
Just a wide range of outcomes.

Let's even this out. The gamblers are not so confident on USU. 90% putting money on TCU to cover. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalkkofdog wrote:Threads like these make me worry… it’s like “catnip” for the jinx haha
