Athleticism

Post by shoresy » November 28th, 2023, 7:25 pm

I know this has been stated before, but it's wild how refreshing it is to have a team with some actual athleticism. We've obviously had a lot of great teams, but it's really fun to go into a game knowing we can be the more physical and athletic team.

I think it's going to make playing teams like SDSU and Boise a whole lot more interesting.

That showed up big with Martinez on the second-to-last inbounds play. What a stretch to catch the pass, then to stay inbounds, then to stretch to get the ball to Brown. Wow! Sidenote, had Uduje called a timeout rather than made the assist to SLU, I'd have been much less puckered for the last 90 seconds.

Surprised we didn’t see Issac much in the second half after he played so well in the first.

I think the challenge is we are deep and it is hard to find enough minutes for everyone.
