Nigel Burris to Utah State
This dude just committed. Good stats for a freshman and a good shooter. I'm happy about it.

Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
Don’t know much about this kid, but commits like this are the golden goose. Solid freshman year stats, tons of eligibility left, and has used his one free transfer to come here, so not a flight risk until he graduates.
This type of recruit is the best for USU to sign.

Are we allowed to have players on the team above 200 lbs? I'm shocked

Yep love this kind of transfer, great job Sprinkle and staff. Size and athleticism and he can shoot. These are the kinds of guys we need. Keep them coming Coachineptimusprime wrote: ↑April 17th, 2023, 3:32 pmDon’t know much about this kid, but commits like this are the golden goose. Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
You are spot on, he now has to wait 3 years to transfer without losing sitting out a year. I know nothing of him other than he was the freshman of the year in the Big Sky. I like his rebounding numbers and 3pt shooting % for his size. I also like that he has good size at 220 pounds.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑April 17th, 2023, 3:32 pmDon’t know much about this kid, but commits like this are the golden goose. Nigel Burris to Utah State
This is what I’m wondering. We need some of each so doesn’t much matter but just wondering if he’ll be competition for Zee at the 3 or if he’ll slide into Funk’s role as a stretch 4.slcagg wrote:Is he a wing or inside guy?

Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
Where can one look to see what interest from other teams he was receiving in the transfer portal?

Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
True, Idaho played a really weak schedule. He did well against the better Big Sky teams but never did play a MW or a P6 game all year. Shooting stats tend to translate though and the kid can shoot and is built well enough to handle the physicality. I think he’ll do just fine.dirtnsnow wrote:Looked great against walla walla and northwest indian.slcagg wrote: ↑April 17th, 2023, 3:43 pmI can see why watching that tape.SpectrumMagic wrote: ↑April 17th, 2023, 3:41 pmQuite the physical specimen as a freshman. Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
For sure has potential. I'll be interested to see how he pans out, but he isn't a game changing first option yet. Excited to see more pieces added.AGGIEinIOWA wrote: ↑April 17th, 2023, 4:04 pmTrue, Idaho played a really weak schedule. Oh man. I really, really like what I see. His 3-point numbers jump off the page.
This feels like a massive get.

Re: Nigel Burris to Utah State
He had some troublesome knees which kept him out of the lineup from time to time. He was a good 3 point guy at NV though not so great at USF. Pretty good rebounder..Maybe a step slow on defense.
Players come and go..I was pretty neutral about his leaving or staying.
