22 didn’t think he would come here. Has something changed, or does he have another destination in mind?

Hence, the Battle of opinions of where Battle will go has begun.

People were saying he couldn’t transfer, maybe that was his intel?

I mentioned that he could be a grad transfer. I guess that I am right about that.

Might suggest a coaching decision that just hasn’t been announced yet.

He can transfer, but to play next season he'd have to be a grad transfer - otherwise he'd have to sit out a year which wouldn't make sense this late in his career.

Reading between the lines here, Raequan Battle perhaps has his sights set higher than Utah State. That is my takeaway from 22’s reporting.

With his stat line and super impressive NCAA tourney performance, I see P6 interest in his future.

He was at Washington for 2 years then transfer to Montana State then played for Montana State for 2 years then entered the portal for a 2nd time.

The whole graduate question is confusing. Even some on MSU board were certain he wouldn't qualify for a graduate transfer. I still predict that sooner or later the NCAA is going to lose in court when someone contests the limited transfer rule and then it's really going to be a free for all.

Hard to say, he could come here because of Sprinkle or go P6. We don't know Battle. Odom brought in RJ, Akin, and Horvath from UMBC, and Smith brought no one from South Dakota (there was no transfer portal at the time to be fair).

9 ppg, 39.7% from 3, 4.4 rpg, and 3.0 a/to ration and DPOY in Big Sky. I would think help at the PG at the least.

Brown is a 10/5/5 floor general with a 3/1 TO ratio and a near 40% 3pt shot ... that also happens to know Sprinkle's system. Without a question, you take him if he's willing to come.

I was told that transferring was not option for Battle since he's transferred once already. I was also told graduate transferring was not an option.

So, something must've changed his mind. I'm not mad. Hope Battle is considering USU and is ready to fight fight fight.

Man. If both these dudes came to usu I would be ecstatic. I know it’s Montana st, but they were a good team and these are their 2 best players.

Probably spent some time with an academic advisor and found a way to get his last class for his degree.😀

Would it qualify if he could finish his degree via summer courses before enrolling in the fall? Im getting flashbacks of Ja'Marcus Ingram’s sudden accelerated graduation.

There seem to be a lot of K-State fans hoping for Battle’s services. Must have been impressed with his tournament game.

He does leave the possibility of remaining at Bozeman. But, if the right people came to him with the right offer it might even be worth it to sit out a year to play at a Gonzaga or high major.
