An entertaining surfing experience

Post by SectionBAggie » February 3rd, 2023, 5:48 pm

Many other schools use their main message board during the game (as opposed to USU's live game chat)' I don't take time during the game since it's a distraction. But it is fun (for me at least) to go through the 12(?) pages of this link to see how their fans were handling various points in the game. There is enough commentary to have a good idea of what was going on.

They sound just like Chat. It's all the same.....refs hate us, announcers hate us and want the other team to win etc.

And that is Exhibit A of why the chat room is a better method.

No record left of our real-time overreactions to every little thing...haha.

I wonder if the first 10 minutes had been reversed in their favor if they would have been whining about the choice of uniforms. If not, they have a ways to go to match our psychosis.

The nice thing about comment sections and the like is that it provides fodder for what the Seahawk board at least calls Enemy Reaction. (This could be widespread, or it could be a FieldGulls special.) Few things are as entertaining as reading the comment recap of the other team after a victory. (Or in our most recent case, a thread between Lions and Packers fans.)

There's a poster over on JazzFanz that does something similar after Jazz wins, and they're extremely entertaining to read through. Here's his latest version from the Raptors game earlier this week. Would love it if someone would do something similar over here.

Ah, but we have 'Chat - After Dark'.

Nothing in the vast world of the entire internet comes close.
