Aggies up to 31 in the NET!

Post by dogie » February 2nd, 2023, 6:27 am

New Mexico drips to 37. They essentially swapped places.

Also, Bradley has moved up to 74, so that’s one more Q2 win. The Aggies are now 6-0 in Q2 games. Only USU and UCLA (6-0) have six Q2 wins, so there’s something to point to on the resume.

At one point, the Aggies had eight eight or nine Q2 wins, and most of them were not close games.

Your opponent has to be top what for a Q1 win at home again?

A loss would have been Q1, but the win was Q2.

Seems like it should be top 50. Top 30 is such a small percentage of good teams.

It’s top 50 for neutral and top 75 for away games. I think they are looking for teams that can win on the road. @UNLV will be a Q1 game right now.

There's an outside chance we could hold serve at home against UNM, SDSU, Nevada, and Boise and end up with zero Q1 wins.

Would it be better to go *4-0 vs Q2* or *3-0 vs Q2/0-1vs. Q1*? Do we intentionally lose 1 or 2 of those games to help our SOS?

No, win as much as possible by as much as possible.

Need 2 out of 3 wins versus SDSU, Nevada, or Boise State at home to feel pretty confident with at-large bids chances as long as the other games are handled. 1 out of 3, things get dicey.

Solid win for the Aggies. Q1 games are hard to get at home since they have to be in the top 30. Just keep winning the games you are favored to win and it will all work out.
