We shouldn’t play Weber

Bear with me here, I am irrationally upset that our 9-0 Aggie team just lost to a 4-7 Weber team (with losses to Cal Baptist, Dixie, Tarleton State & Wright State). I know there is a lot of history between the two schools but we shouldn’t be playing inferior in state teams. We obviously came out flat like we should be given the win and this was Weber’s chance to salvage some good from a bad season.

So you agree that neither BYU or Utah should play us in basketball or football. Go it.

So you agree that neither BYU or Utah should play us in basketball or football. Go it.

I of course want to play BYU and Utah. They won’t play us anyways. So why do we feel this moral obligation to play the smaller in state teams?

Imagine if we played with the kind of heart and eff-you-attitude that Weber does against us, when we play the y; maybe we wouldn't lose every year. Good job Weber!

not sure what is more predictable? aggie fans showing collective frustration on a fan board after a disgusting and unacceptable loss or jonny making his only contribution by making negative comments about aggie fans that are upset after the loss?

That's a cougar or ute thing to say. Weber has a good program and we have been playing them for 50ish years. We got beat so we should run home and take the ball. That is what loser programs would do. We just need to play better and beat them that is all.

So true, it truly is. We are 9-0 and things are flying high and suddenly lose and the ceiling is caving in. Don't get me wrong that loss was horrible. It's not like the team came out flat to start the game they just couldn't keep it up. It sucks and is embarrassing but there are plenty of games to redeem themselves.

Nope. We should play any and every in state school. Let’s not pull a BYU and Utah and cancel a series with a team who beats us who we don’t want to look bad playing. If we don’t like them, recruit better players and coach them better.

We are closer to Weber State as a peer school than BYU or Utah when it comes to athletics budget and support.
