the only in-state schools we should agree to play
in order are:
Utah (won't happen)
ybu (likely won't happen); and
Weber (because we have history with them).
Everyone else is just a lose lose. Even if you win, of course you were supposed to win. If you lose, looks bad. We don't need to give charity games to some Tech School who's playing their version of an NCAA playoff game.

I don't think we should be in a position to be big timing anyone while we complain about other teams big timing us.

I think we payed Dixie to come up here. I'm having a hard time getting used to Utah Tech...

Re: the only in-state schools we should agree to play
I personally disagree. I see your point and understand why you’d feel that way, but that is exactly the reason I hate Utah so much and I’d hate for us to be like them.
These games are fun and good ways to keep fans interested. Games like this commonly have husbands, wives, and families cheering on their schools against each other. I would much rather see Utah Tech on a ticket than Mississippi Valley State or something like that.
And just f****** win. If we’re the bigger, better school, prove it on the court.

I would much rather schedule home games with the in state schools then teams from lower level conferences that we can get to come to Logan. Utah Tech was super motivated last night and at least it is a regional game versus play some team not close by that is also not a good team.

This is the exact thinking byu and Utah fans use to justify not playing U State. I hate it when they do it, I hate seeing it here. Play in-state games. Play them on campus.ViAggie wrote:in order are:

Re: the only in-state schools we should agree to play
Yeah we should play any D1, especially in state team that will come to the Spectrum. As long as they don’t need us to overpay. Instate games are well attended. We got more to the Spectrum from Utah Tech then Utah got for #4 Arizona.

I would be all for this if all of the in-state D1 schools agreed to play each other.Zaggie07 wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 1:25 pmThis is the exact thinking byu and Utah fans use to justify not playing U State. I completely agree! Do I hate that BYU/Utah big time us? Absolutely. But that’s not the point. I want the best for USU and not to just not be a hypocrite. We gain nothing from playing Dixie/UVU/SUU/Westminster and have much to lose.ViAggie wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 11:11 amin order are:

Re: the only in-state schools we should agree to play
Why do we have more to lose playing them than out of state teams of similar quality?MacAggie wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 2:11 pmI completely agree! Do I hate that BYU/Utah big time us? Absolutely. Re: the only in-state schools we should agree to play
We get higher student attendance playing schools like dixie and UVU. From my eyeball test we had the biggest student turn out to those games vs our other games. I would rather play them than other similarly skilled out-of-state teams.

The Ewwtes and the Why can go screw themselves. I hope we never play either one of them ever again in anything. Let's schedule games with Dixie, Weber and the Valley every year. Those games are fun.

I'm starting with the man in the mirror (oh)
I'm asking him to change his ways (oh)
And no message could've been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change

We should still play all those schools, but only at home with a 2 for 1 with WeberMacAggie wrote: ↑December 2nd, 2022, 2:11 pmI completely agree! Do I hate that BYU/Utah big time us? Absolutely. This is exactly how Utah fans and BYU fans feel about us. I’d love to play everyone. I personally love how Craig would whine about Utah never playing us and now that he is in a position to help change that and …. Nothing. Lame.
