Good. It’s nice to read different opinions that aren’t just all sunshine and rainbows.OKAggie wrote:He knows, and he doesn’t care.bigskysbro wrote: ↑April 27th, 2022, 9:18 amineptimusprime wrote: ↑April 27th, 2022, 7:27 amThe ‘ol “hope for internal development and hope that Falslev is the next Sam Merrill” approach to the offseason.

A different perspective is fine but the frequency of essentially the same complaint can be tiresome. I know, nobody is forcing us to read these comments.2004AG wrote: ↑April 27th, 2022, 7:00 pmGood. I wonder if Odom is using a conservative approach by getting a potential upgrade inked before trying to free up another spot. What are the tradeoffs of counseling out 6 players all at once vs one at a time?

Re: Lineup as it stands
It’s not even really a different opinion. No one is really arguing the basic premise. No one is overly enthused about the current offseason. Even those that like the players we have brought in still feel like we need more. So, if everyone is basically saying the same thing, it’s not a different opinion. So we are beating a dead horse for no reason..2004AG wrote:Good. Perception is a funny thing though because it sure feels like only rosy, blue colored predictions are the only opinions allowed.
“Trust in Odom”. “Odom knows more than you do” seem to be the overwhelming responses to any concerns.

Re: Lineup as it stands
So your saying some sports couch potatoe KNOW MORE than a coach hired to do his job?
We may not like the direction or focus, but knowing more?
Tell me what you do for a living so I can find internet junkies in a totally different profession claim they know more than you

Nobody is saying they know more.
Are you saying that coaches NEVER make mistakes? Are you saying Odom is perfect?
We have about 8 players on the roster that prove coaches aren't infallible. Coaches make mistakes all the time. Doesn't mean any of us know more than Odom.
Its a message board where opinions are shared.

Just quoting the basket ball experts here. Your post was quoted exactly, just like the hyperbole being posted.
Sorry, I’ve been through big losing usu sports teams and guess what, I’m a fan after 40 years, win or lose. Buts it’s just not important in my life to (I can't express myself without swearing) and moan about not being a top team every year by and blaming the coach before his second year.

Re: Lineup as it stands
Not saying it's the right attitude, but these are different times. It used to be that a new coach was given 3-5 years to build his program, but the portal has changed all that, along with everyone wanting instant gratification. I'm not ready to judge Odom one way or another, it's just that nowadays everyone is on a shorter leash. I just hope next year is better and the trajectory is up because it sure is getting grouchy around here.WAAggie wrote: ↑April 28th, 2022, 7:02 pmJust quoting the basket ball experts here. We are all fans win or lose. Nobody is even blaming Odom for anything. He’s only been here a year.
I don’t think Odoms seat is even slightly warm. He obviously gets wayyyyy more time before the verdict is on him.
That doesn’t mean we can’t kinda sit around and second guess not cleaning house a little more and wishing the team next year looked a little different.
I’m a big fan of the guys he brought In. I just think he needs 2 more. But that doesn’t mean I think I know more than him.

Re: Lineup as it stands
Odom is not perfect and no comment has said he was. I know 1 thing, I’ll be a true blue Aggie and will last longer as an Aggie than Odom will, regardless of his abilities.

Re: Lineup as it stands
This. Most of us here were Aggie fans before Odom, Smith, Morrill etc. and will be here cheering for and biatching about the aggies long after they are gone. Only difference is we didn't make millions doing it.
