MWC coaches
It's starting to look like everyone will be back next year. All the P6 vacancies are filled except Seton Hall and it's rumored the St Peter's guy is the front runner there. Medved was being mentioned as a possibility at Nebraska but Hoiberg won a couple of games vs. ranked Big10 teams late in the year so they aren't ready to eat that buy-out. Linder was mentioned for Kansas St but the Baylor assistant got that one. The only jobs left would be lateral moves at best. It's good for the over-all conference strength as the likes of Maldanado, Ike, Roddy, Stevens, etc. are more likely to stay where they are.
But all this means that we've got a LOT of work to do if we want to crawl out of 7th place.

Re: MWC coaches
I thought for sure Medved or Linder would be hired, but Wyoming faded and Medved signed a contract extension before their game against Michigan.
CSU hired Medved over Craig Smith, so Smith went to Utah State. Everybody thought CSU made the wrong hire, and they probably did... but... Medved has built a strong program and could be better next year depending if Roddy comes back... and... is sticking around longer then Craig. Interesting.

He has made it to the semifinals in the conference tournament 2 years in a row so he has that going for him.

Medved wouldn't be the first guy who signed an extension and still left if a better gig came along..bpd wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2022, 1:38 pmI thought for sure Medved or Linder would be hired, but Wyoming faded and Medved signed a contract extension before their game against Michigan.
