He will be back if that is the case. Remember what nba length does to his gameAglicious wrote: ↑March 30th, 2022, 6:31 pm....but not hiring an agent so he can keep his eligibility to return to CSU if doesn't grade out as a Round 1 guy....which I doubt he does.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑March 30th, 2022, 3:58 pmTubby roddy is declaring for the draft too. Now we just need to upgrade our talent level. Do not believe csu will be as good next year.

Interesting . Maybe he will end up an aggie after all.
Maybe Curtis condie can work his magic.

That's a lot of gibberish in one tweet. He could do this, but he might do that, but he will possibly come back.......

If he wants to play at a school that supports their basketball program, he could do a lot better than Boise.

Wyoming make moves. Note Linder makes about half of odom. The usc kid will be very good for Wyoming.
Put @ineptimusprime on high watch alert when half the pac12 is visiting Wyoming and social media is taking note. While we work very quietly on the side.

God’s plan, eh? What is it about helping those who help themselves?
What are we even doing? What about finishing 7th in a tourney-exposed Mountain West suggests that we should run it back but without our two best players?
Hopefully things start looking up fast.

I'm about to join ineptimusprime. I'll wait 10 more days before I start getting worried. Signing day is this week, not what it used to be but rosters will start getting filled.

Right there with you. Nothing like a 7th place conference squad losing its two highest scorers and replacing one of them and running it back with rest of squad.
If our hopes are Cade Potter a RS freshman and Wickizer and our current guard line

I don’t want the the entire team counseled out. I wanted 5 new scholarship players. That point seemed a close to consensus concept on this board in the “Wake up call” threadBank Shot wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 10:14 amThis what you have in mind Prime?

But I loved this quote below. This is the yin-yang of the transfer portal. The transfer portal giveth and the transfer portal taketh away.
"Just as the transfer portal empowers student-athletes," Scott said in a statement, "our coaches are also empowered to make the decisions they deem necessary to advance their programs."
This is balance in the force. We’re not doing the portal era correctly if we aren’t using it for some roster spring cleaning too.

Also note Wyoming the year prior vs usu the year prior were totally different. Wyoming was terrible. He identified needs and addressed them. He was 14-11 with true freshman vs seniors at usu. Lindner is a hell of a coach and is showing he knows how to build a program. Wish we would have doubled his salary last year. I’d be very surprised if he is at Wyoming after next year.

Also note, you have absolutely no idea what Odom and his staff are doing in regards to what we need and how to address them. We at least should give Odom some common courtesy and see how it plays out before waving the white flag.slcagg wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 3:12 pmAlso note Wyoming the year prior vs usu the year prior were totally different. Honestly, the only really concerning data point at this point is we have no one in the portal, and therefore don’t even have the scholarships open even to “get gud” as the kids say.

You are obviously emotionally invested in this argument as you have problems when anyone points out the lack of results and gets that way when defending. You are entitled to your opinion. I think we both agree that we hope he has positive results. I think as fans, we all are invested in this so-called argument because we all want the Aggies to field the best team possible every single year. I just choose to wait until at least signing day to voice my concerns or praise.slcagg wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 4:34 pmYou are obviously emotionally invested in this argument as you have problems when anyone points out the lack of results and gets that way when defending. Fair. You can certainly do that. But you should also try to not tell others they have no clue when they voice a different opinion. This is a message board. I’m not saying I hate odom. But yes I do think Lindner has proven to this point of being a better hire (to this point).smfdaggie wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 4:43 pmI think as fans, we all are invested in this so-called argument because we all want the Aggies to field the best team possible every single year. If odom doesn’t bring up In a game changer and we have the same team minus bean i hope I can voice my concerns without being told I have no idea. Just let me know when that cutoff date is of being allowed to do that.

The problem with the “wait and see” approach at this stage is we’ve been waiting and seeing for too long. This was the last weekend for visits before NLI day. Maybe we had ONE super secret visitor to fill our ONE super secret scholarship?smfdaggie wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 4:43 pmI think as fans, we all are invested in this so-called argument because we all want the Aggies to field the best team possible every single year. What we don’t have though is 5 open scholarships to fill going into signing day like many hoped. I like the Funk signing a ton, but just filling those two scholarships vacated by Bean and Horvath just isn’t going to be enough to maintain, let alone get better. I just don’t get it at all.

I think we have “some” idea based on nobody in the portal and no reports of PAC12 guards visiting.smfdaggie wrote:Also note, you have absolutely no idea what Odom and his staff are doing in regards to what we need and how to address them. So do you 2 know who we have reached out to and/or brought in for visits? Didn't think so. From what I can gather Aggies22 seems to be the only one who knows what is actually going on. But, if you want to keep stressing and complaining, that's fine with me. Have fun.

However it is extremely quiet on social media and to primes great point that we only have 1 spot gives me some idea the direction we are headed.smfdaggie wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 5:02 pmSo do you 2 know who we have reached out to and/or brought in for visits? Btw if our two centers returning are the two centers on the roster, we are in a world of hurt next year. It’s like playing 4 on 5.
Not to mention our guard line proved this year they are at best a middle of pack guard line in the mw. Small and slow.

Re: Conference Mates Offseason
I think most of us are concerned that we may not land the right players to make us better than last season. Some just seem to have a little more anxiety about the topic than others. I'm still in wait and see mode, but sure, the closer we get to the beginning of next season without good news, the higher the likelihood that we will be worse than last season.
If we land a targeted 5, then maybe that will lead to one of the existing backup bigs moving on, thus freeing up another scholarship to use on another position of need. It is probably better if that happens sooner than later as the available player pool is sure to shrink.

Re: Conference Mates Offseason
Players have until May 1st to enter the portal. If they don't make that deadline even the "One" time transfers have to seek a waiver to play right away..Those waivers will likely be granted but why go through that hassle if you don't have to.
The players transferring a second or even third or 4th time have to obtain a waiver or sit out a season. Most of those get granted but not all of them. Grad transfers also have to go through the waiver process if it is not their first time..
Anyhoo, May 1st is still almost 3 weeks away. Coaches may wait to pull the trigger on kicking a kid to the curb until they see what kind of help they can get from potential transfers coming on board.
There is still time for movement.

Not only that, but the spring signing period means pretty much nothing. It does not apply to transfers and it last 3 or 4 weeks. Most of our coaches are at AAU tournaments this weekend anyways.nvspuds wrote: ↑April 9th, 2022, 6:16 pmPlayers have until May 1st to enter the portal. You must be wrong.
