Sports Illustrated thinks so.

It's too bad we couldn't have fielded a better team this year to take part in the accolades the conference is getting.
It has been a really tough league this year. We have been able to compete, just not win. Really all we needed was one guy that could defend the wing and make three pointers on a consistent basis and thus team would have been right there with the top of the league.

Re: The best the MWC has ever been?
Yes, and what sucks is that when we are close to being in the tournament the league only gets one in or 2 sometimes. When we have a year like we did this year 4 teams get in. Again, if we didn’t have luck, we wouldn’t have any luck at all.
I was told that had we not beat San Diego State with The Shot we wouldn’t have gotten in. So we win and the tournament is canceled because of covid-19! That’s what being an Aggie is sometimes, bad luck!
