Winning Team, Losing Team Chant Copied
I'm pretty sure that I saw Highland High School using the winning team, losing team chant after beating Springville in the 4A football semi-final game.
You can see it in this video at about 2:34 on KSL: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=504&sid=13250924

I just hope half these students know from whence the cheer came. (The first school that began to use the cheer in the state of Utah, at least.)

I saw it last year in Odgen. I hope not to tonight because I hope for a Weber win.DCS wrote:Wait until you see it tonight. It gives me chills every time.wildkyle wrote:Everybody uses the I believe you can win chant.

Seeing it happen with a couple hundred people is nothing compared to the 4000 or so students that will do it tonight.wildkyle wrote:I saw it last year in Odgen. Presumptuous and ill-informed.

The USU fan section at Weber was larger than the Weber fan section last year.

Weber State had the 21st highest DI attendance average in the Western United States last season. Excluding the Pac 10, WSU had the 12th highest average in the West. WSU's 5,310 average was higher than the entire Big West, 3 MWC teams, half the WAC, 8-of-9 WCC teams and higher than USC of the Pac. That is pretty good for a low midmajor program that doesn't get any big schools coming to Ogden ever and averaging 200 students per game at best.ProvoAggie wrote:The USU fan section at Weber was larger than the Weber fan section last year.
Been waiting for a win in the Spectrum since 1994...thats 2 years longer than Utes fans!

Still they had more students and more fans last year at the game.weberwildcat wrote:Weber State had the 21st highest DI attendance average in the Western United States last season. weber's 5,310 fans in the entire stadium is almost the same as just USU's student section. that is a lot of qualifications by the way.weberwildcat wrote:Weber State had the 21st highest DI attendance average in the Western United States last season. USU had the number 1 attendance in the western united states, excluding california and teams who play in cities beginning with the letter P, but who still play in utah, in stadiums with multi-colored seats and a blue U on the floor.

LMAO!!! You do realize that we ripped off the winning team, losing team chant from other schools, as well. Proof? Here's Ohio U from the MAC conference doing the cheer back in 2006, well before it began in the Spectrum-

It's one of those "we didn't invent it, but we made it famous" things.
