Hopefully the game on Saturday doesn’t get postponed.

Dang.. I'm sure it will get postponed then. It's going to be over a month since we last got a game in the Spectrum.

Maybe they should just finish the season playing video game basketball competitions. That way everyone is safe and the spread of infection can be minimized.

If it gets postponed it will probably be because of USU. Wyoming has been out awhile, they should be good to go.

WYO's game against SDSU this Wednesday was postponed. Not sure if it was WYO or SDSU, but it was WYO i could see the game against USU being postponed. I sure hope not. This is becoming an absolute joke.

On the MW board a WYO fan just mentioned the cancellation with their game against SDSU was due to COVID in WYO's program. If true that puts the game on Saturday in jeopardy.

Wyoming hasn't played a conference game yet because of covid issues within their program. The first 4 games have all been postponed...hopefully it doesn't extend to 5.

Boise is off Saturday. If Wyoming can't go, there is NO REASON to not get Boise down here Saturday for the makeup game.

That would be awesome. I it happens if WYO cannot make it.

Since Boise is already rescheduled to January 20th, UNLV doesn’t have a game on Saturday. Let’s get them to come up to Logan so we can open up some more spaces for rescheduled games later on in the schedule.

I missed the announcement that the decision has been made to reschedule Boise for January 20. Likely cause the decision was just made today and a new topic announcing it hadn't been started yet.

UNLV on Saturday is not an option. If we are going to move it, the only suitable day is Sunday, which we should try to avoid for reasons that everyone knows, and that become sandbox material if argued about too much.

Like Provo mentioned, Wyoming hasn't played since Christmas, but I think their own Covid problems didn't pop up until Jan 2nd. Its going to be close on whether or not the game on Saturday gets played. I think it happens...

Details:

Wyoming's game against Boise on Jan 1st was set to be played, Boise had even traveled to Laramie. But several Boise players were sick that morning and tested positive. So the game was put off:

On Jan 2nd, the conference announced that the Nevada - Wyoming game on the 4th would be postponed due to Covid issues in Wyoming's program. So Jan 3rd was the first indication of Wyoming's Covid problems.

Saturday will be 13 days since Wyoming first announced problems, most of these "covid pauses" have been 10 to 14 days, so we are going to be right on the edge for Saturday. Boise is scheduled to play on Wednesday...11 days since their "pause" started.

Keep in mind Utah State hasn’t had Covid yet (it appears), so that is coming sometime.

Even if we go the regular season without it, we could get infected at the worst time and have the fate VCU had in the NCAA Tournament last year and Boise, Miami, UCLA and Texas A&M in their bowl games!

With the change of quarantine guidelines to 5 days, they should already be good to go. Has colleges adopted the 5 day period or are they still using the old 10 day guidelines?

I think it's advantageous for us if this game is played (which looks like it will) because it's a home game, Wyoming hasn't played in a while, and they are a top 40 Net ranking team. I feel we got to take one of these two games this week.

I am interested to see how we match up against WYO. I know they are good team, but still don't have a good feel of how good. Ike is a beast and we will struggle to handle him, but Dusell and Maldonado at the guard line are good as well. Excited to see how it plays out. I do think at home we have a good shot to take them down.
