Re: Brock Miller!!
Two huge threes down the stretch. I couldn't have been the only one yelling at the TV when he shot the first of his last two threes with the game in the line. Brock has taken a lot of criticism on this board - some from me- but he should be commended for his clutch shooting against Oklahoma. I don't think the Aggies win without Miller today. Big time shots.

16 points on 40% shooting from three.
Not a great day for the “Brock Miller can’t play” crowd.
I’ve been a whiney bassard, but I’ve always been team Brock.

I’d love to see this from him consistently. Even if the points aren’t as high, the shooting percentages need to hold.

So clutch. He should have a great year with the type of looks he’s getting from 2 willing passes in the post and. PG that drives and kicks as well as Jonesy.

I mean, it was one game. I’d hold off on his statue for now. If he plays like that though, we will be in the running for conference championship.ineptimusprime wrote:16 points on 40% shooting from three.

But that’s exactly what this team needs and he probably won it with his CLUTCH threes at the end.

His late-game play vs Oklahoma is what we've been waiting for for 3 1/2 seasons. Hope we get more of this but pessimistically feels like an "every dog has its day" type scenario. Hope I'm wrong.

Wish that we're true, but even in this game, he got caught naping on multiple occasions. Hit some big shots late though. Credit

No one is going to play flawlessly on defense or offense for that matter. Each player will have a few bad plays per game.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 6:30 pmWish that we're true, but even in this game, he got caught naping on multiple occasions. Re: Brock Miller!!
The interesting think is that Brock was not playing well in the second half and Odom had Homoda at the scorer table to check in for him. Then there wasn’t a dead ball for like 3 straight minutes and Odom changed his mind and left him in.

Brock Miller!!
Miller has energy as a teammate. First to pick up a teammate, into it on the bench and locker room. Imagine a 40% year.
I hold out hope for ashworth also. Still forcing it, but he has skills and bball iq if he can get the game to slow down a little.

I'm gonna put it out there. I'm not a fan of Shulga yet. I think he has potential, but I think keeping Shulga's minutes limited is a good thing.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 4:56 pmI would like a public apology from anyone clamoring for Shulga to play over Brock.

Re: Brock Miller!!
Sorry, but I totally disagree. No one has to get helped more on D than Miller. He loses his man and has to have help more than anyone. His defense does not exist. He hit 3's today, but is so inconsistent. We have bigs that can hit the 3 now. He needs to ride pine unless we are chucking 3's to get back in a game and need someone who just wants to park in the corner.

Re: Brock Miller!!
Working hard on D is not the same as being good at it. Brock is definitely not good but he does work hard at it. Terrible rebounder as well. It's been said many times, he one dimensional, and very inconsistent at that one thing as well.Goose74 wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 8:55 pmSorry, but I totally disagree. Re: Brock Miller!!
You beat me to the punch on Ashworth. I've felt for the games I've seen that Steven Ashworth is the one that could make the greatest "add" to this team, if his shooting were to come around and he were to be regarded as even a "semi-"reliable scoring threat. His shooting has been AWOL, is not even taken seriously anymore. I keep hoping him to make a few along the way, at least....WAAggie wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 7:05 pmMiller has energy as a teammate. Re: Brock Miller!!
We have no better than Miller to be playing that many minutes at his position. Miller gave us 16 points and is shooting close to 40% from 3. Miller is a key part of our success.Goose74 wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 8:55 pmSorry, but I totally disagree. No one has to get helped more on D than Miller. There's a reason Miller continues to get plenty of PT, even across 3 different coaches now. Good effort on both ends, and he can get his shot off quick/over anyone...just have to live with the off nights.

Unfortunately he doesn't have a few bad plays, he has a few good plays. A lot of napping, and missing, and lot of minus an less plus.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 6:32 pmNo one is going to play flawlessly on defense or offense for that matter. We're not talking about flawless, it's about consistency. He doesn't have good consistency. Heat check him and then bench him.

Re: Brock Miller!!
So a couple of you actually think you know what is better for the team than the the coaches who ARE the coaches? I am pretty sure if you knew better than the last 3 coaches, then you would be coaching somewhere. For those of you who think Shulga should be getting Millers minutes, I am glad you don't have any say in the rotation. Shulga may at some point be able to be a positive asset, but not at this point. Obviously, the coaching staff agrees.

Sure, but Bank Shot said "absolutely no one works harder on D (than Miller)" that statement is categorically FALSE, he's not even the hardest worker on this team - he loafs a lot.Aggie84025 wrote: ↑November 21st, 2021, 6:32 pmNo one is going to play flawlessly on defense or offense for that matter.
