I don't think we need to dig through the archives to safely say that they didn't also get double digit boards in the process.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑November 18th, 2021, 3:03 pmBack to back 30 pt games. Damn. How many times did jaycee and Merrill even do that?

Re: Justin Bean FTW
Merrill never had back-to-back 30 point games. He only had two 30-point games as a senior. Sam's only two double-doubles were points/assists. Jaycee had back-to-back 30 point games twice as a senior and none of those were double-doubles. But Jaycee did once have a 44/10 game so that's pretty good.

Re: Justin Bean FTW
Hopefully some other dudes can step up, because if we need Bean scoring 30+ points, getting 15 rebounds, and shooting 60% from three to beat teams like Penn in double OT, we’re in big trouble.
Justin Bean is going to have a fantastic season, and it’s a credit to Justin how superhuman his last two performances have been, but it’s time for some guys, especially RJ and Ashworth, to step the hell up and share the load.
I’m worried about Bean’s ability to sustain that without dying from exhaustion by game 6.

Re: Justin Bean FTW
You are correct, Bean is awesome but we need to get production from ashworth, RJ and either hamoda or Dorius.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑November 19th, 2021, 8:48 amHopefully some other dudes can step up, because if we need Bean scoring 30+ points, getting 15 rebounds, and shooting 60% from three to beat teams like Penn in double OT, we’re in big trouble.

Those burritos are showing quite a bit of leg. I'm not sure society is ready for that kind of thing yet, probably why the rating. #burritolove

Dude, you are missing like a million trophies. We need at least a MW regular season trophy, a couple MW tourney champs trophies, a Myrtle Beach trophy, whatever trophy that we won in the MTE against LSU, whatever trophy he gets for all-conference, etc.
And this without even getting to banners. And there should clearly be cut nets everywhere. And a broken fire extinguisher.

A recap segment of USU's win over OU in The Oklahoman
"Bean is the one who got away for OU.
Jacob Groves only looked away for a second.
The junior forward faced a tough task on Sunday as he defended Bean with 13:32 left in the game. The assignment required complete attention, but a brief slipup proved to be costly.
Groves turned his back on Bean while under the basket, and Bean took the opportunity to cut behind him. He then gathered a pass and sank a layup despite being fouled for his 17th point of the day.
Bean finished the game with 24 points and 19 rebounds in 38 minutes.
The monster performance is nothing new for Bean, who entered Sunday averaging team-highs of 24 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. He's considered to be one of the best players in the country, and he's all too familiar with OU.
Bean grew up in Moore, where he played for Southmoore High School from 2012-15. Despite living about 10 miles away from Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, the 6-foot-7 forward did not receive an offer from OU.
Bean suffered an ACL injury six months before his senior season at Southmoore, which hurt his recruiting. He then went on a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Reno, Nevada, before walking on at Utah State.
Now a senior for the Aggies, there aren't too many holes in Bean's game. His constant activity makes him a threat on both ends of the floor.
Bean is poised to win the Mountain West Player of the Year Award and plenty of other accolades this season.
"(Bean) puts so much pressure on you going to the glass," Moser said. "You look back at certain NBA players, and they just know where that ball was coming off. The shot would go off, and all a sudden he would loop around to the other side and the ball would be coming. Unbelievably valuable player and definitely the key to the game."
