Queta/Summer League
Summer leagues are kicking off. The California Classic started last night and featured Sac/GS - here is box score: https://www.nba.com/game/gsw-vs-sac-132 ... #box-score
Queta didn't play (coaches decisions), but was on roster. They play again tonight, so hopefully he'll play in this game? Sacramento's first round pick played 32 minutes so not sure why Queta didn't play unless he's hurt and/or they only play certain players each game with all the games coming up?
Here is the Vegas summer league schedule. Sacramento has two games on NBATV, one on ESPNU and one on ESPN2. If Queta gets playing time, then worth watching their games (and for us Vegas Aggies might be worth going to a game). https://www.unlvtickets.com/eventInfo/s ... meschedule
I couldn't find Bucks official summer roster. I suppose there is a small chance they send Sam to the Summer League, which would make their games worth watching.

Re: Queta/Summer League
Queta was held out due to some minor ankle soreness and Merrill commented in a recent radio interview that he was super pumped about playing the summer league because it will hopefully give him some more court time from what he experienced during the regular NBA season.

For any basketball junkies out there, I'd highly recommend going to the Vegas Summer League, Aggies playing or not. It's a blast.

Re: Queta/Summer League
Thanks for both of those updates! Hopefully Queta is ready to go in Vegas and Merrill gets plenty of playing time. I believe this will be Merrill's first time playing in Thomas and Mack since the "shot" since there was no summer league last year.Aglicious wrote: ↑August 4th, 2021, 1:46 pmQueta was held out due to some minor ankle soreness and Merrill commented in a recent radio interview that he was super pumped about playing the summer league because it will hopefully give him some more court time from what he experienced during the regular NBA season.

I think I have only been to one summer league game. That was at SLCC when Billy Donovan was playing. I don't even remember how long ago that was - the years just blend together.

Queta in the game vs the Lakers right now on ESPN-U. Didn’t start but they said his ankle is well enough tonight to get on the floor for a bit.

Re: Queta/Summer League
Just occurred to me that Queta seems to have a good shot, regardless of NBA success, to be on the Portugal Olympic team in 2024. That would be cool!

Re: Queta/Summer League
Unfortunately Portugal would need to improve massively for this to be possible. 12 countries make the Olympics and Portugal is currently No. 58 in the FIBA World Rank.

Re: Queta/Summer League
Before the ncaa tournament he was projected in the mid 20s. It took one game for me to say I want the jazz to get him. Two games later it was clear nobody in the last half of the draft was going to have a shot. He reminds me of another Mitchell in the league.AggieFBObsession wrote:Davion is going to be a star in the league. Sacramento drafted very well.
