Bean Sponsorship
It looks like Bean got his first sponsorship. Quite frankly it fits perfectly. Would have been cool if Brito was still on the team and they could have been sponsored together. Happy for Bean.

I worked at Taco Time in Brigham City when I was 16. We called crisp bean burritos "Waldos" and the crisp meat were "Reds".

the "reds" or crispy meat burrito came in a red bag, so that's what I figured, but the "waldos" came in a green bag so that one is confusing.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑July 30th, 2021, 12:57 pmDangit, hipster, I gotta know why you called them "waldos" and "reds". What is a “Waldo”?
The famous crisp bean burrito at TacoTime has been called the “Waldo” by many locals for many years. We had to get to the bottom of this mystery so we sat down with the local owners and here is what they said.
While managing one of the local stores in Rock Springs, owner Lee Staley’s staff kept confusing the meat burrito and the bean burrito in the kitchen. In order to improve the accuracy of orders, they named the bean burrito “Waldo” because Where’s Waldo was a popular culture icon at the time.
It is amazing how similar ‘meat’ and ‘bean’ sound through the drive-thru speaker or even in a noisy kitchen when being called back to the kitchen staff. Remember, if you want bean, just ask for a Waldo!

Re: Bean Sponsorship
My wife always makes a point to say "crisp bean burrito" when ordering in the drivethrough. That "crisp" is what makes it clear, I guess. I'll tell her now that she can just order a bag of "Waldo's".

It is old people food. Between The Bluebird and Maddox, we have the old people covered. In fact - circling back to the original post, that would be a good opportunity for one of our RM seniors that has also taken a red-shirt year. They could be a paid spokesperson for the old people restaurants in the area.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2021, 11:48 amIt is an unpopular opinion, and one that I share. You mean those of us who said upfront we knew it was an unpopular opinion? And does "bashing" really include saying that we're not impressed? Not once has someone said anything bad about their food, service, or quality.cval wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2021, 1:49 pmTo those of you bashing Maddox.
