Both Bane and McDaniels would have helped the Jazz bench a ton.918AGG wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 4:35 pmNeither of those particularly tickle my fancy. Bane, maybe, I guess. The 2020 draft, especially at 27+, is pretty slim pickins.OrangeCountyAggie wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 2:45 amineptimusprime wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 12:13 amEspecially because that would mean the Jazz would have drafted Desmond Bane or Jaden McDaniels last year.3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑June 22nd, 2021, 9:58 pmIf the Jazz were going to spend a first round pick on a big man flyer, I wish they had waited until this year and taken Neemie.

Re: Queta to NBA Combine
I don't think so. McDaniels is super raw and skinny, had a below-average defensive rating of 115.9, and is super hit-and-miss on offense (averaged 6.8 points on 24 minutes per game) on a bottom-5 NBA team. Bane, maybe. McDaniels, no.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 11:23 pmBoth Bane and McDaniels would have helped the Jazz bench a ton.918AGG wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2021, 4:35 pmNeither of those particularly tickle my fancy. Re: Queta to NBA Combine
You look at the NBA draft "experts" take on Queta and you can find one saying he's a 1st round pick, one saying he's a 2nd round pick and another says that he goes undrafted. Not a consensus of opinions. It makes me happy seeing him bouncing around. Big and active. How lucky were we to have that big cat?
Strong consensus on that kid who broke the combine record with a 48" vertical leap. Top 10 pick for him

Re: Queta to NBA Combine
Per this Yahoo article, I would say the combine definitely helped Queta.

Re: Queta to NBA Combine
They were using terms like "trampoline effect" to describe his leaping ability. My brain is already programed by seeing millions of "normal" jumps. That kid just keeps rising and rising. It's unnatural and a little disturbing to see. Like an optical illusion.

Not a word about him in that article.AgsRock wrote:Anybody have a subscription to the Athletic. There is a combine risers article I want to read to see if Queta was included as a riser.
