Mason Falslev
I’m curious about y’all’s predictions if Falslev follows his buddy Rylan and leaves the Utes for the good guys? Anyone know the timeline of his return home from the mission? I’m definitely going to predict that YES he will. I’m feeling good vibes from the basketball Gods

Not to derail from this wonderful mission talk… But this last week I saw Masons dad twice and both times he was wearing a USU basketball shirt!

Not first hand, but from a pretty close source. Masons dad didn’t want him to commit so early in High School, he had wanted him to wait to see how things played out a little more.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑May 16th, 2021, 8:48 amWhere the coach who recruited him the U is now gone, I like our chances.

Re: Mason Falslev
I doubt it. BUT in my opinion, if he wanted to play both, he should take one of 25 football schollies and that way the hoops team would have an extra schollie to use. Again, this is purely one dude's (mine) opinion from a numbers standpoint.slcagg wrote: ↑May 16th, 2021, 3:05 pmIs he also looking to play football?aggies22 wrote: ↑May 16th, 2021, 3:03 pmNot that it matters much but I've been told that as well.aggiegrey wrote: ↑May 16th, 2021, 8:52 amNot first hand, but from a pretty close source. I will say, Mason Falslev made more than a few of the craziest in-game plays I have ever seen. His coordination and athletic ability really is off the charts.

A few ute fans seem to think he's coming back to play WR for the utes fb team... Yea just what every QB wants, to play WR

Mason isn't a QB. He is a WR.

22 is right, Mason is definitely a WR. In my opinion he would make a better college football player than a basketball player.

Re: Mason Falslev
To aglicious point above and your post, I just watched some highlights. I did not realize how athletic he was. Holy smokes. For the rest of the board. My favorite is his wrap around dribble and dunk.

Re: Mason Falslev
At one point during his recruitment, Mason was very interested in playing both football and basketball at USU, but it's my understanding that Utah State (understandably, IMO) didn't want him to play both.
As has been mentioned, he's a phenomenal athlete and I really hope we see him in an Aggie uniform one day. He's also a great kid from a great family.

Re: Mason Falslev
He is an incredible athlete and a great kid...would be a great Aggie! I am close to many in his family and have discussed this with some of them recently. As of March, he was fairly certain to come home and be an Aggie. Only concern for him at that time was that he loved what Craig Smith was doing and was worried that Smith might be leaving USU. Well, we know what happened there. The move of Smith to Utah might be a real positive for him staying true to Utah. Smith built a solid relationship with him right after his hire.
However, Mason really likes the direction of the USU program and really wants to play with Rylan Jones. I think that if the current staff can build a relationship with him and continue winning...he may well be an Aggie.

That's what I had heard. He wanted USU to be able to play for Smith. That doesn't seem to bode well for us now.IdAggie wrote: ↑May 16th, 2021, 10:38 pmHe is an incredible athlete and a great kid...would be a great Aggie! Re: Mason Falslev
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Great highlights, looks like someone I'd be super happy to have on the team. But if the coach he wants to play for just went to the school he previously committed to...Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑May 17th, 2021, 9:02 amThat's what I had heard. I hope he ends up as an Aggie. Someone as explosive and exciting as he is deserves a raucous and excited crowd to cheer for him, not some lukewarm fanbase where they have to put up curtains in the gym to hide how few people show up to games.

The kid is fun to watch, but nearly entertaining is watching the visiting coach (Green Canyon I think) at the 1:28-1:32 mark. Golden reaction.
