Re: Norbert Thelissen
13=13. Something is not computing... either Cade Potter is not coming, Dorius didn’t get a scholarship, Brock is retiring, or someone else is hitting the portal.
Seems like an incredible nab if true though. I am certain he is a better athlete than the last Norbert that rolled through.

Dutch (add another country to our roster)
6'7, 190 lbs
High 3* on 247
He's got his own Wikipedia page, so obviously a very big deal. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norbert_Thelissen

I think this could move Brock to the 6th man role.

Does Craig Smith still want USU on the schedule to see how good this guy is in person?

Here's an in depth article about Thelissen and how Utah "landed" him.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
That is another explanation. There are a couple of explanations. Let's see where the chips fall, but this was sure a curveball.
Seems like this guy would fill the same role as a Bairstow or McChesney.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
I was going to say the same thing. Very similar to those two. That being said I think you keep swinging on 6'8 athletes and hope one hits big.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑May 7th, 2021, 3:24 pmThat is another explanation. There are a couple of explanations. And now they won’t be. They will say they are glad he leaves an opening for more of a Pac12 guy.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑May 7th, 2021, 3:18 pmI know that Utah was very optimistic about him.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
But they are probably reporting off the Trib guys tweet. I am trying to get a confirmation from someone on the Utah State side of things.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
Verbal Commits shows Thelisson as committed as well as Eytle-Rock but does not have Horvath?

Re: Norbert Thelissen
Dixon discussed Horvath and Eytle-Rock on that recent interview, so safe to assume they are coming unless something has changed in the meantime.

Looks to me like he's another Brady Jardine, can really jump but can shoot also.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
I don’t really see it. He seems like a much better ball handler, driver, & shooter.
Brady only attempted 2 3-point shots his entire usu career.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
It is interesting where the scholarship is going to come from. In the herald journal article it mentioned we had 4 scholarships. We already have Horvath, Rock and Hamoda signed. Be awesome to get both Rylan and Norbert just not sure who would be leaving instead.
Re: Norbert Thelissen
Looks like he could be a good add. Hope to see 22 confirming it soon.

Re: Norbert Thelissen
I’m excited about this Dutch kid signing on. Seems to be the real deal and more proven and mature than the international kids we brought in last season with his professional experience and age (21).
