Thought we could make a place for recruiting news going forward. These have been getting put in the transfer portal thread among other places.

Looks like a 3 point specialist. Based on the fact that he already has a UMBC offer, I assume Coach Odom was recruiting him there before moving to Utah State.

Presumptuous and ill-informed.

We should probably take lesser black players who will come here over better white players who will come here.

It’s going to be interesting when these kids come on visits and 13 of 15 players on the team are white, 6 of the 7 coaches/ops are white, the entire AD is white, and all the fans/community are white.

I think it’s going to be a real disadvantage in recruiting these 2022 kids.
Yeah, this a problem of Coach Smith’s creation. I hope it doesn’t become a bigger problem.

What do you see, black and white, or players, coaches, and people? I think it’s unfortunate if a recruit is so fixated on the racial makeup of a team that it would be his deciding factor for where to play. We’ve had many awesome players of color who seem to have enjoyed their USU experience. We currently have players from 4 continents (7 countries).

I only see one color. Aggie blue on top of Old Main when we win!

Looks like another prospect who could go to Utah State. Thoughts on this kid?

Unless we are talking 2022, we can put these recruiting threads to rest. We're done for 2021.

So if it’s a yes on Thelissen, and we’re done, is it a “no” on Rylan Jones? I am still pretty confused, and can’t go to bed confused.

I think so too, unless taking Jones means Ashworth transfers. I’d take Ashworth-Thelissen over just Jones.

I know that adding Norbert Thelissen has created more questions. I don't have any answers right now. The kid (Jacob Nielsen) from the Statesman went all in and wrote an article about Rylan yesterday and even went as far as stating he has "confirmed" his transfer to Utah State. I have damn good sources on the transfers of both Rylan and Norbert. So as it currently stands, with the information that I have, I'm left scratching my head with the rest of you.

What do you think about the Thelissen addition? Seems like we have a lot of 6’7” wing types between this guy, bairstow, mcchesney, the other new recruit this year and the Orange County kid.

How come we haven’t seen anything official on Rylan? Nothing confirming his commitment with USU like we usually see? I know 22 has said he is hearing things but it makes me wonder if he is not yet committed and we are at 13=13 already.

Quoting myself to up my comment count.. just kidding. Just read the other thread about super seniors not counting against the 13 limit. Still, why haven’t we seen his commitment yet?..

Wonder if we are just waiting a few days so it doesn’t look suspicious. Similar to Worster and Anthony heading to the U. We all knew they were headed there, but it took like a week after they entered the portal for the U to announce it.
