Dave Rice
just announced his resignation from UW. Any chance he is the “Aggie” that may be on staff. Seemed like he could recruit but wasn’t much of an X’s and O’s guy.

Re: Dave Rice
I second this. Dave Rice was the best recruiter that I know of.bigskysbro wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 3:23 pmjust announced his resignation from UW. Any chance he is the “Aggie” that may be on staff. Seemed like he could recruit but wasn’t much of an X’s and O’s guy.

Re: Dave Rice
I predict that Craig Smith’s 3rd coach will either be Chris Burgess or Dave Rice.

I don't think you're too far off base.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 3:48 pmI predict that Craig Smith’s 3rd coach will either be Chris Burgess or Dave Rice.

Re: Dave Rice
Rice is a great recruiter and Burgess is a great big man coach. Would love either of those guys in Logan for those very reasons. But I agree it isn't going to happen. They both make a lot more then they can make with the Aggies.Roy McAvoy wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 3:48 pmI predict that Craig Smith’s 3rd coach will either be Chris Burgess or Dave Rice.

Eric Peterson's specialty is coaching the 4 and 5.gomretat wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 4:59 pmRice is a great recruiter and Burgess is a great big man coach. Re: Dave Rice
It would be pretty cool to see, Spencer n., Nate H. and Tai Wesley working with the bigs in Logan to get them doing footwork, defense and physical play down low to dominate the paint with the size on the roster. Imagine Dorius developing into a skilled post playing like Tai or Nate.

Re: Dave Rice
Dorius’s problem is not physical play. It’s that he can’t shoot. He is good at uncontested dunks though.LoveMyAggies wrote:It would be pretty cool to see, Spencer n., Nate H. and Tai Wesley working with the bigs in Logan to get them doing footwork, defense and physical play down low to dominate the paint with the size on the roster.
