Dave Rice

Post by bigskysbro » April 16th, 2021, 3:23 pm

just announced his resignation from UW. Any chance he is the “Aggie” that may be on staff. Seemed like he could recruit but wasn’t much of an X’s and O’s guy.

I second this. Dave Rice was the best recruiter that I know of.

There isn't much of a chance.

We can only dream of having Dave Rice recruits. :disappointed:

I predict that Craig Smith’s 3rd coach will either be Chris Burgess or Dave Rice.

I don't think you're too far off base.

Rice is a great recruiter and Burgess is a great big man coach. Would love either of those guys in Logan for those very reasons. But I agree it isn't going to happen. They both make a lot more then they can make with the Aggies.

Eric Peterson's specialty is coaching the 4 and 5.

It would be pretty cool to see, Spencer n., Nate H. and Tai Wesley working with the bigs in Logan to get them doing footwork, defense and physical play down low to dominate the paint with the size on the roster. Imagine Dorius developing into a skilled post playing like Tai or Nate.

And then Jaycee working with the guards, specifically on 3 point shooting

Dorius’s problem is not physical play. It’s that he can’t shoot. He is good at uncontested dunks though.
