Thanks Craig smith for taking worster with you to Utah and not bringing Matt Mooney to USU a few years back.

Who is Jeffrey R Holland? Was he a great BB player?BiocatAg wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 10:15 amYes- I never want to wish an injury, and I do hope he is successful in life. However, I can't ever bring myself to cheer for the UoU. It wouldn't matter if they had a coaching staff of Jaycee Carroll, Jeffrey R. Holland, and Abraham Lincoln (I know that's not possible)- I'd still hope they'd lose every game.
For now, good luck to Rollie in all he does, except for basketball games at the U. Thanks for the highlights this past year.

Now that he’s gone it’ll be nice to finally start pronouncing his name correctly.

I believe he play for a national championship while he was in Lubbock, and of course had he wished he could have played in Logan, but I would guess he decided Texas Tech was a better fit.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 3:05 pmI’m sure Matt’s dream was to go somewhere desirable, like Lubbock.oleblu111 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 2:53 pmDid Matt want to come to Logan ? I guess that I'm in the minority, but I thought that Rollie would be our next Jaycee or Sam. Not a pure shooter like them, but THE guy on the team.

Poor Marco. Seems there's no room for him or for coach Ragland and Hansen at the prestigious UofU.

Maybe, but he will definitely not be that for Utah. I guess you can never rely on 19-year-olds to make well-educated decisions.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 5:23 pmI guess that I'm in the minority, but I thought that Rollie would be our next Jaycee or Sam. Re: Worster is a Ute
The fan boards of other MWC schools are predicting a lengthy and precipitous fall from grace by USU given our player/coaching losses. So far there is little evidence that they are wrong.

I was thinking more of a Preston Medlin type. Put up above average numbers for a solid 4 year career and finish in the top 20 in a couple statistical categories.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 5:23 pmI guess that I'm in the minority, but I thought that Rollie would be our next Jaycee or Sam. Re: Worster is a Ute
I use to lose sleep over good Aggie coaches leaving. But for whatever reason GA 1.0...i just lost my respect for any of it. I don't care that they go to the U. They shouldn't call us rivals any more either, as they won't play us. Coaches spew whatever love they have then turn on a team for money, and say the same words to the next guy.
I don't wish them any ill will. Would rather put my energy towards the new folks and kids that stayed
Go Aggies!

Re: Worster is a Ute
He could have been. But especially towards the end he tried playing a lot of hero ball but didn’t have the athleticism or shot to do it. He was a driving force in us losing our tournament game. He missed open shots and made atrocious turnovers.Real Life Aggie wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 5:23 pmI guess that I'm in the minority, but I thought that Rollie would be our next Jaycee or Sam. However he was certainly our most promising underclassman.

Re: Worster is a Ute
I think Worster definitely had the potential to be the next great 4 year Aggie legend. I could see him having success at the U on a smaller scale as well. It’s frustrating to see him walk away but his loss would be negated immediately if we can land someone like RJ E-Rock.

Not so much these days. I sold when it spiked and my $20 became $740... now it would be worth like $1,800. one just cannot predict inexplicable bubbles in speculative currencies with no intrinsic value.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 5:56 pmYeah I think he has real potential to be good, but I hope he fails now.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 5:52 pmI was kind of in that boat. Yeah Eytle Rock will more than negate the loss of Worster. Him and another good pick up and we'll be in pretty good shape.hipsterdoofus21 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 6:47 pmI think Worster definitely had the potential to be the next great 4 year Aggie legend. Yeah it is hard to know when to drop out and when to buy in when the situation is so up and down. I'm riding the current wave, but sounds like you did make off pretty good turning 20 into 740.flying_scotsman2.0 wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 6:57 pmNot so much these days. You are obviously high on Eytle Rock but I'm not concinved he satisfies the need we have at PG. Even our UMBC guest listed him as the 4th best option on their team to transfer and stated the reasons he didn't think Eytle Rock's game would translate to the MWC.Aggie formerly in Hawaii wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 7:47 pmYeah Eytle Rock will more than negate the loss of Worster. We have few precious spots left and all 3 really need to be homeruns and high impact players or we will not finish in the top half of the conference.

Re: Worster is a Ute
Eytle-Rock would be a high impact player that you are talking about. Great scorer, great 3 point shooter, all conference first team, etc. . . Desi Sills is another guy that we should highly target. He played 20 minutes a game for elite 8 Arkansas and is in the portal. He kind of got passed over this year by some of their incoming guys Musselman brought in, but was pretty good before that and would do well at USU.Aglicious wrote: ↑April 15th, 2021, 11:01 pmYou are obviously high on Eytle Rock but I'm not concinved he satisfies the need we have at PG. I think this is a bad decision for him. He had a much better chance to develop at USU and while he’s good he definitely needs to develop. The U already has better guards so he won’t play as much. Similar situation to Collette - could have been much better overall if he would have stayed. That being said I will no longer keep track of his career - one year as an Aggie and three somewhere else does not an Aggie make IMO, he’s out of the family.

Re: Worster is a Ute
"Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie" goes out the window if you commit the unpardonable sins of transferring to BYU, Utah, or a conference foe. Although I look at Smith differently than Worster since he put in 3 years here, won 2 MWT championships, and got us to the dance 3 times. I do appreciate that he resurrected this program, even if he dumped us for Utah.Chupamedia wrote: ↑April 16th, 2021, 8:51 amI think this is a bad decision for him. Re: Worster is a Ute
I hope Rollie doesn't see the floor and loses every game and transfers out to a Big Sky school in a year as a Ute.
But that's not gonna happen. Rollie is really good. He probably never sniffs the NBA, but he'll have a great career in red and will probably end up being perfectly happy and content with his own personal decision.
