And that's all of them.
Seems to be some kind of pattern with the new coaches and players but it’s hard to put a finger on just exactly what it is...
What pattern are you referring to?

HE would be a huge get. Odds are not great that we will land him, but you strike out on every kid you don't offer. Staff seems to really be looking at 2022 kids. Hopefully we can get a impact PG to finish out the 2021 class.

I watched some highlights of Jaxon Kohler and I like his offensive game. Good footwork and nice touch around the basket. If he keeps improving and gets a little quicker on defense, I think he will do quite well in D1. Would be great to see him in Aggie blue.

I like our chances amongst that group. He shot well in his limited minutes. I’d like to see what he can do with more time here.

We finally made a list!

Silver has been the player that I have pushed for the most out of the players that have been talked about here.

Didn’t aggies22 say we haven’t actually contacted him? I’m believing that to be true. I’ve seen 0 evidence this kid will be picking usu.

I am not pointing to that we did contacted Silver in reality, but it would be nice to get Silver. This is all I am saying, and we know the source above is not reliable. Wisconsin-Green Bay seems to be pushing to get Silver.

Looks like Texas Tech also offered him this year. BYU offered him in 2019, the U in 2018. Kinda sounds like he'll get to go wherever he wants, in or out of state.

Takes watching about 30 seconds of his highlights to see that he's high major. If we can beat out every PAC 12 team, and a lot more, we'll hit the jackpot. I like that we offered though. We should keep offering players that talented.

I’m starting to wonder if we are even trying to sign anyone else for 2021. We aren’t linked to anyone (I follow most of the relevant Twitter accounts).

There are still hundreds in the portal, but the focus seems to have turned to 2022.

We do have roster spots open right? So you gotta think there is someone, somewhere right?

I think we have at least one scholarship left and a walk-on slot or two available, but they may be planning on keeping that scholarship open and seeing if anything shakes out over the summer. Maybe aggies22 can confirm?

Wild cards I can see are if anyone else transfers (sounds like a "no"), if Brock Miller is ultimately declared medically ineligible (sounds like he is planning to make a go of it as of now), if Dorius was actually awarded a scholarship (sounds like he was), and if Cade Potter is still coming :noidea:.

Seems spot on. I agree that Wyoming lost out in the biggest way, and we lost out in the 2nd biggest way, lol. Though, 3 of those 6 players lost through the transfer portal (Kuba, Statsny, and Zahar) didn't move the needle. Marco, Rollie, and Fonzo certainly did, though. :disappointed:

Hold on just a minute — Murray can’t be right I thought we were uniquely positioned for tapping into the transfer portal. Perhaps Odom meant players moving out.

I agree with Murray that our depth has been crushed, especially in the backcourt. With Marco and Rollie leaving, two of our depth guys are now expected to be starters (Ashworth and Shulga), and there’s really no one we know we can rely on behind them. We shored that up a bit with Eytle-Rock, but the backcourt seems super fragile. Our only proven MW backcourt starter in Miller has health concerns.

I’m reserving final judgment until I see who we bring in with the last scholarship, but there’s gonna need to be quantum leaps from guys like Ashworth, Shulga, and Bairstow, and/or a Queta-like freshman coming out party for Hamoda for us to compete at the top of the MW heap.

I think we have one too many scholarships committed to front court players, which is what makes the Dorius scholarship situation pretty frustrating to me (even though he’s one I’d like to keep on the team for certain matchups). It’s probably safe to assume that Bean, Horvath, and Dorius are going to get the lions’ share of minutes at the 4/5 spots. That can’t have Zapala too happy. And I’m still not sure were McChesney fits in. In limited minutes, I don’t know that he can guard 3s, and he seems too frail to guard 4s.

I just don’t feel great about relying on our current depth guys as starters, or on our end of bench guys as our depth guys based on what I’ve seen so far.

Aaron Cook from Gonzaga just entered the transfer portal. Looks like he got injured or something in 2019 and hasn't played meaningful minutes since. Would be another guy to consider.
