CSU game 1 thoughts
what I liked:
1)MArco's defense on stevens.
2)Queta manhandling all of CSU
3)Miller 6 made 3s
4)Miller getting a rare appearance at the charity stripe
5)Anderson lighting it up at the end of the 2nd half
what I didn't like so much:
1)Ashworth missing the layup after his steal
2)Dorius missing putbacks
3)Bean disappearing in the offense
4)whatever the scrubs did at the end of the game
5)some pretty weak calls, espcially thistlewoods flop

This was the Miller/Queta show tonight for sure. Ashworth and Worster were hardly noticeable, but Anthony played great defense.

I thought worster was very noticable, for both good and bad. He had some great drives and a couple of spectacular dimes, but he also had some real freshman bonerheaded decisions as wellMr. Sneelock wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 9:23 pmThis was the Miller/Queta show tonight for sure. He was close to double double in points and assists.sam tingey wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 9:25 pmI thought worster was very noticable, for both good and bad. Re: CSU game 1 thoughts
My thought after this game is that I am starting to think no one has the pieces to beat us in the MW if Queta stays healthy and out of foul trouble. Does anyone have a stretch big that can pull Queta out to the perimeter? That team probably has the best chance.
Maybe Diong from UNLV can bang with Queta and get him into foul trouble? I am worried about UNLV for some reason.

8 points, 9 assists 3 TO. I’ll take that any day of the week. (Worster)
Also, Fonzo had a great game.

Worster had a great game on both ends of the floor. The best I have seen him play. Give him a year and we are going to be talking about about an all time great passing PG. He's strong with great vision. I know they didn't score a whole lot but Ashworth and Worster looked really good together down the stetch.sam tingey wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 9:25 pmI thought worster was very noticable, for both good and bad. My thoughts exactly. Honestly more worried about UNLV than I am Boise.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑January 19th, 2021, 9:28 pmMy thought after this game is that I am starting to think no one has the pieces to beat us in the MW if Queta stays healthy and out of foul trouble. Only reason you should be more worried about unlv is they play them next week.

Anthony struggled finishing at the rim tonight. This is usually a strength for him. Not his best game offensively but a solid defensive game.

Miller's only made shots within the 3-point arc was 2 FT's - 0-3 from the field ...
but 60% from 3? wowie!!

Miller, and a bit of Ashworth have become the knockdown shooters that, for whatever reason, we didn't have against BYU. That is why the first four games, that should have been tune-up games, but ended up facing some solid opponents were so tough. Would have made all,the difference.
On the other hand, would we be the same team we are now without the lessons learned in those first four tough games?

I feel that the early losses were the price to pay for what we are seeing now from the Aggies. Still sucks that we lost to BYU.cval wrote: ↑January 20th, 2021, 8:28 amMiller, and a bit of Ashworth have become the knockdown shooters that, for whatever reason, we didn't have against BYU. We just have some weird mental block against BYU.sam tingey wrote: ↑January 20th, 2021, 8:40 amI feel that the early losses were the price to pay for what we are seeing now from the Aggies.
